[glow=navy,2,300]Reaper[/glow][glow=lightblue,2,300]star[/glow] Reaperstar sat down in the middle of camp, still fuming. How could Feathersong have done that to him? She knew how important it was for him to make a good impression on the other leaders. So why had she acted as she had. It was horrible, and extremely embarassing as well. He dug his claws in the ground and frowned. What if he couldn't build an alliance with Thunder Clan? He relaxed as he let his crystalline gaze travel around the clearing. Shadow Clan would be perfectly fine, alliance or no alliance. "StarClan, thankyou." He meowed, taking stock that the cat's had sent him his reassurance.

Cinderfoot
~Loyal Warrioress of ShadowClan~
Cinderfoot crept out of the warrior's den. It was a fairly cool morning and the dark clouds above promised moisture soon. Whether it would be rain or snow Cinderfoot didn't know. She wished that it would be rain though. Cinderfoot actually like snow. She loved how purely white it was. But, snow brought it's disadvantages too. Whitecough, less prey, and shivering cold were just some of them. However, the cold hardly affected Cinderfoot. Her gray pelt was still not easily seen in leaf-bare, and her soft and fluffy fur almost always kept her warm, if not too hot.
It looked like the dawn patrol had just gotten back. Reaperstar laid near muttering to himself, and looking serious about something. Cinderfoot put on one of her best smiles and walked over to him, glancing from side to side to check around camp at the other warriors.
"Hello Reaperstar!" she said. "How are you today?" She laid down across from him, resting her legs again once more. Her paws were rather dirty so she started to groom them. You couldn't be dirty around your leader!

[glow=navy,2,300]Reaper[/glow][glow=lightblue,2,300]star[/glow] Reaperstar's light blue eyes softened when the warrioress took her place beside him. Still, he sighed inwardly when she began to clean her paws. Once upon a time a cat wouldn't have cared if they had dirty paws around me... "Well, thankyou Cinderfoot." Reaperstar meowed with a short sigh. And I wouldn't have to hide the fact that, yes, I am having a rather crappy day. He missed the closeness he had held with his warriors as normal warrior, and even a deputy. He shook his pelt though, "No." He meowed, "That would be lying, I'm a bit troubled. Feathersong...she lost her temper again today. This time at an enemy patrol." He shook his head, half wondering why he had spilled that to Cinderfoot and half at Feathersong. The young she-cat was known for her easily riled attitude, not to mention Tawnystorm also had a temper as well. Dealing with the two cat's was starting to get complicated. He'd have to speak with them later, seperately, of course.

Cinderfoot
~A SC Warrior That Cares~
Cinderfoot smiled. She got up and then laid down next to Reaperstar. Her fur brought comfort to her, and maybe it would comfort him. Maybe... it might just make him feel awkward. She listened to his problems, nodding her head every once in a while to show she was listening. Cinderfoot felt sympathy for the tom. It must be hard to run a Clan (winkwink).
"I could talk to her if you want me to. Sometimes it's easier for a she-cat to talk to a she-cat." It's also easier for a warrior to talk to a warrior, instead of a leader. She had almost said the last sentence, but she had quickly held her tongue just in time. That was her, the big blabber-mouth. "If you want me to do anything, I can help." She looked on at him with a smile and understanding in her eyes.

[glow=navy,2,300]Reaper[/glow][glow=lightblue,2,300]star[/glow] Stay with me. It was a thought that Reaperstar wanted to say so badly that it hurt. Still, he didn't. That would seem un-leaderlike of him and he was just that. A leader. He sighed, and hoped his eyes did not show his desire for the she-cat to stay close with him. He remembered how he had fancied her as a warrior, but she probably wouldn't show interest him. Especially not now that he was leader, he was so busy, it would be hard to get a moment alone with any cat. Even a mate, if he had one. "At the moment, no. Thankyou though, and I guess it would be good for you to talk to Feathersong."

Cinderfoot
Cinderfoot gave sympathetic eyes that sparkled. Cinderfoot was glad that she had won the idea of talking to Feathersong. She would probably ending up arguing with the leader if that happened. That wouldn't be good. She came in closer to Reaperstar. There was something about him, just something that made her want to stay there with him forever. His pelt, patchy and slightly dirty, most likely from the patrol, needed a good licking, so Cinderfoot started to groom it. Her long tongue brushed over his fur. She wouldn't stop until his fur was perfect.
Finally, when she was done, she stood up. "Do you want me to get you something to eat?" she asked. She headed over to the pile after he had answered. From here you could see him clearly, laying down in the sunlight. He looks almost...handsome. I've never seen him like that before. Bringing back a piece of prey, she sat down next to him again.

[glow=navy,2,300]Reaper[/glow][glow=lightblue,2,300]star[/glow] Reaperstar's eyes had gotten heavy as Cinderfoot had groomed his fur. "Ah that feels nice..." He mumbled. When she had finished his pelt had a nice sheen. He purred. He looked at her as she trotted away, "Yes, how about that nice crow over there? I think Rapidfire almost broke his neck getting it out of the tree." His tail twitched a little bit and his silver pelt gleamed in the sunlight.
She was staring at him. Suddenly feeling self-conscious he tucked his nose beneath his paws. It was an old habit that he used to do when he was a young apprentice when he got embarassed.

Cinderfoot
Cinderfoot brought back the crow to Reaperstar. There was something about him. Something that made her want to get near him and comfort him all day and all night. It was a certain charm. Whatever it was was working. Cinderfoot, slowly, was falling in love, and with the leader no less!
Thinking about Reaperstar showed how little she knew about him. All she knew was his history as leader. She didn't remember anything else about his past. Feeling curious, she asked him, "So, what was your life like when you were younger?" What would he answer? What was his past? There was so much she didn't know.

[glow=navy,2,300]Reaper[/glow][glow=lightblue,2,300]star[/glow] "Ah." Reaperstar meowed, "Those were good days. Do you recall my other siblings? They are dead now, Crackedheart's neck was broken by that badger two moons after our warrior cermony. Thundertwist...well you know, the battle with Thunder Clan we had several moons ago. When I was a deputy. Still, we were inseperable, sometimes I wish Crackedheart was back to talk to Feathersong. He always had this way of calming down others around him." He shook his head sadly, "I definitely miss the free time. As a leader I find it hard to find time to myself. This is one of those rare moments. Even know the problems of the Clan patter at the back of my mind. I am worried that there are no queens in the nursery, for without kits a Clan is not strong." He looked at the she-cat sadly, "However, so many cats seem to be uninterested in each other as mates. Of course I cannot force them else I shall seem like a bit of a tyrant." He shook his head sadly, "I suppose I was more carefree. I'm not too different, although I have matured greatly. Would you believe that I hated talking to large crowds as an apprentice? In fact, groups of cats that were larger than four or five usually had me tongue tied. I even begged Ripplestar to leave me behind from a gathering once. I seem to have gotten over that though."

Cinderfoot
Cinderfoot listened intentively, nodding her head every once in a while to show she truly was listening. Cinderfoot knew about there not being any queens in the nusery, but until now, she hadn't realized how bad that could be for the clan. Maybe I can become one... she thought as she looked admiringly at Reaperstar. She refrained from hitting herself right there. Of course I can't mate with the leader! That wouldn't be right! When Reaperstar mentioned that he begged the leader once to not go to a gathering, she looked at him bewildered. "Really?" Come to think of it, Cinderfoot hadn't really thought of the leader's past much at all. She just thought about his history as leader and nothing else, as if he had been born a leader. I guess it just doesn't happen that way...
Cinderfoot smiled when he was done. Now it was her turn... She started out, "I was born in the middle of leafbare. I guess I couldn't call that 'the good old times'. My fuzzy and curly pelt was the only thing keeping me alive. Shadekit, my sister, died because her pelt was thin, and not properly suited for the weather. My mother, Blackleaf, tried her best to keep us warm, but for Shadekit, it was no use. She went to sleep, and never woke up. She became a frozed corpse." Cinderfoot's eyes were deep and seemed to be looking afar off, as if she were living in the memory. "Having her gone hurt me emotionally and mentally. I started seeing things. Most of the time, I was seeing my sister, playing with my mother. Finally, I was going so crazy that I burst into the leader's den, and asked him if Shadekit was really okay. He replied back in a way that I took as yes, and eventually the weird visions went away." Cinderfoot smiled. Even back then, she had been somewhat a blabber-mouth. "I was made an apprentice a few days later, but I didn't want to be an apprentice. I wanted to be with my mother. I didn't want her to suffer the same fate, even though it was close to green-leaf. I finally accepted it though. My mentor worked me hard. He wasn't exactly the nicest of cats, and I didn't really learn much from him. The most important thing I learned was that you can't change the past. Since then, I've been a lot happier, knowing that Shadekit is all right, and I can't do anything more for her now. I will see her again when my body eventually joins StarClan." She paused for a minute. She had one more thing to tell. "Then when I was about 11 moons on a border patrol with 2 other warriors, rats attacked us. More were crowding around the other warriors, and soon I had killed off all the ones that had attacked me. Unfortunately for the warriors, one died and the other fainted. I dragged the one that had fainted to camp, and later helped bury the one that had died. I was given my warrior name later that day for my bravery." She looked sadly down. "I'm trying to make my life better, but it seems like everything's trying to pull me down. Do you know the feeling?" ((OOC: =) She has a long history!))

[glow=navy,2,300]Reaper[/glow][glow=lightblue,2,300]star[/glow] Reaperstar nodded his head, "Yes. Definitely. As one of the many newest leaders it is hard to be accepted by the other Clans. Many cats are waiting to pounce upon me." He stared at Cinderfoot gently, she looked so beautiful right now. Without knowing why he leaned forward and licked her forhead in a gesture of affection, "I apologize for what happened to Shadekit, however I am sure it is quite warm in StarClan. She'd be happy there."

Cinderfoot
Cinderfoot looked back at him. She nodded. It was exactly like that. He understood her feelings perfectly.
He started to lick Cinderfoot. Was he licking her because he loved her? Don't be silly Cinderfoot! He's the leader, you can't mate him! CAN"T CAN"T CAN"T! Cinderfoot kept repeating this in her head, but the more she thought it, the more she wished she could. He was so handsome, hard to ignore, and a worthy cat. Why couldn't she mate him? Because he's the leader! I've already said that! I cannot mate the leader. Her facial features however, just smiled at Reaperstar as if nothing was going on in her head at all.
Then he told her it was warm in StarClan, and she would be safe. Cinderfoot smiled, and replied, "I'm sure Crackedheart and Thundertwist are with her also." Cinderfoot licked Reaperstar affectionally as well, no matter what her mind was screaming.

[glow=navy,2,300]Reaper[/glow][glow=lightblue,2,300]star[/glow] The tom stared at her, a smile forming on his face. "Yes, I just hope Crackedheart isn't bossing her around." He purred. He pressed himself close to her and gazed upward, he knew the stars would not show until much later, but even now he could sense his warrior ancestors. He felt so much love for the she-cat beside him that it made his heart want to explode. He was sure she would be able to hear his heart pounding as he turned his blue gaze to her. He couldn't breath, it wouldn't come. Say the words, say the words. It seemed as if the entire world had stopped as he stared into her beautiful eyes. At that moment Reaperstar realized that no matter what problems he had in his Clan, no matter what battles and horrors he may face, he wanted to do it at Cinderfoot's side. He wanted to be there for her, to protect her and make her proud of him. His paws grew warm at the thought of her curled close to him. He leaned down so that his face was very close to hers, his heart beating ever harder. Ever faster. Slowly he whispered into her ear, "Cinderfoot, I love you." The words came so easily, so breathlessly it almost surprised him. He watched her carefully, half afraid of what she would say. Still, knowing somewhere in his heart that she would not dissapoint him.

Cinderfoot
Cinderfoot sat there, letting him get closer, and looked up at the stars with him. She could feel Shadekit's spirit, and for a minute, one faraway cloud looked like Shadekit playing with a ball of moss, but, instantly, it was blown away. Oh how Cinderfoot wished she had lived. Her own sister was the heart of her life.
Reaperstar leaned in, and whispered, "Cinderfoot, I love you." Cinderfoot leaped up in surprise, and turned to face him. "You what?!" she looked at him bewildered. She stood there, perhaps a tail-length or two in front of him. He loved her? But he's the leader, he loves me? Why? Me? Is he sure? Cinderfoot continued to look on in surprise. She finally got out the words her heart had been trying to say, but her mind had blocked out. "I love you too," she whispered. Cinderfoot just stood there, not knowing what to do. What did you do when you were in love with the leader? StarClan what do I do? Am I all right to do this? she plead inside her mind.

[glow=navy,2,300]Reaper[/glow][glow=lightblue,2,300]star[/glow] Reaperstar felt amusement twitch at his whiskers. He purred and leaned towards her when she came back. Perfectly content. He would have lay there for a long time if he hadn't heard a commotion. His ears flicked in surprise, rogues in his camp!? "Cinderfoot..." He said, grudgingly, "It seems I have matters to attend to." With a forlorn sigh he stood to his paws and walked over to see what was up.
