Name: Despairingstar
Age: 64
Link to Picture:
Gender: She-Cat Rank: Leader Short Description: Tawny, beautiful she-cat...
Description:
Despairingowl is a tawny she-cat, her pelt it the color of corn silk, she has a few distinguishing marks. In between her brows there is two lines about fingernail width part. They start between her brows, and begin to run back, they go all the way down and split about to inches before her tail. And go down on both of her hunches and curl under her thighs and wind down her hinde legs. About two inches down on her sides there quarter size spots. They run down her sides but they stop at her ankles and don't curl around like the two stripes do. There are quite a few scars on her body, on her nose there are three individual scratches. They are all that same length, depth and size. [I’ll tell you how she got them in her History.] Behind her left ear there is a small scar, it’s hardly seeable! Up on her right hunch where one of the two stripes wind down there are three more scars they are much bigger though and much more noticeable. On her left brow there is another scar, about fingernail width.
Since the RiverClan lives in such humid claimants her body has mutandis [this word is real I looked it up] to so, her fur is quite short. [But that is only for the summer] her pelt lengthens in the winter too almost an inch long. But in the summer it is shorter. She is lucky in this area, many cats of her clan fall ill because of their pelt length. When she moves her pelt can remind you of silk moving in a soft zepher. The feline's pelt is very soft as well, and glistens in the sun.
Desparingowl is a very lanky she-cat; her body might remind you of a snake. Because it never seems to end, her muscles are the normal form of the RiverClan cats. Long and sinewy, even though you may perceive her as a weakling she is not, she is very skilled in her fighting area, in her body she stores large amount of power, feels as if you got [to a cat] shot with a vine. Her paws are very feminine; they are small, but not too small. They are between medium and small, they are meant mainly for balancing. Hidden in her feminine paws are five deadly claws. They could slice open a cat’s stomach. She has very long legs; some toms get lost staring at them. She is about an inch taller then most ThunderClan cats. Her body and her legs are not the only things that are long; her tail is quite long as well.
Desparingowl's eyes are oddly colored, but first I'll tell you the shape of them. They are almond/round shaped; they hide many things of what she is thinking. She doesn't like letting other cats know what she plans to do. Another thing that vales her thoughts to you is the color of her eyes. They’re are a mix between green and orange, the green mainly dominates the eyes, just below her pupil there is an orange color, it’s visible but barely. Her eyelashes are very long adding her beauty and her feminism. Her whiskers well sized, since she doesn’t live in the tall weeds or by the river and not by the Thunderpath. So she doesn’t need very long whiskers. [Though it is a fact Cat's whiskers are as wide as their body] The she-cat has a round face, adding to her round eyes, it isn't long like her body.
Personality: Despairingowl is a very watchful leader, she doesn’t jump to conclusions right off the bat. If some cat comes to her because they have a problem with another cat, or they have a problem with another cat they’d better have a lot of substantial evidence or Despairingowl won’t believe him/her. And if she believes the evidence is true, the she-cat will come to a reasonable punishment for the accused. Depending on how sever the problem was.
She isn’t a very relaxed leader she is constantly on her paws watching things and learning new things. No she isn’t paranoid, nor is she OCD [Obsessive Compulsive Disorder]. She just likes to make sure everything is safe for her clan to mile around. She does her best to try and avoid trifles between other clans and other clan mates. If she catches one of her own clan members hunting on another clan’s territory she automatically perceive it they are not loyal to the clan, and will most likely ban them. Unless they can convince her quickly why they where on another clan’s territory.
Desparingowl is no muttonhead, she is quite fast to figure things out, no she isn’t a prodigy [who is?] she just an uncanny ability to deceit lies in some cat’s words. [She has no power what so ever.] If she is infront of the cat she will look into their eyes, and when their pupils expand they are lying. If their pupils don’t expand they are telling the truth. But if she is standing beside them and can’t see their face, she can feel the pulse under their pelt quicken or stay the same. [Anyone can do this they just got to try.] Only the cats who know her secret can lie to her. And that is not very many cats. Her leader and her Mother and Step-father.
Like most clans she gets very exited about kittens being born in the clan. That pretty much the only time you can acutely see her emotions. Most of the times she keeps her emotions hidden away, if she get disgruntled about something she is most likely to tell her friend or her most trusted family member. She becomes very aggressive when it comes to fighting; she’d rather fight to her death then to bow down to the enemy. [Is it just me or dose it seem like she is like a mini warlord?] She likes thinking out stratagies to defeat another cat, so she is constently out asking apprentice and warriors what their favorite battle positions nd movements.
She has somewhat of a temper; there are very few things that set her off. When she was younger it came undone quickly, but since she has gotten older her temper has cooled down but there is a few things that can set her off. 1. Braking the warrior code. 2. Trying to harm her clan. 3. Lying to her. Like most female's when she "cycles" she can be very tempermental. If you knew if she was "cycling" you wouldn't want to say anything negetive around her. Or you'd more then likely get your ears clawed off.
But she has gotten older now and had began to understand not all cat's are perfect, and that everyone has a fault here and there. All you need to do is learn patients and understanding and you'll get somewhere in life.
History:
Despairingowl was born during the peaceful moons of the clans before the diseases. Her mother’s name Elmlark, she was a beautiful snowy white she-cat. Despairingowl’s father had died a moon before her birth, but what Elmlark told her was that, his name Howlingleaf, she also told her that she look just like him. When Desparingowl asked her mother why her name was so depressing, since both her parents had been happy. And that she had been born in a good time. Elmlark said her father had asked her to name one of his kittens that. Because, the moons had been harsh on the Clan and none of the Clan kittens made it to their first spring. And he said there where another two reasons why he wanted her named that. The first was, he wanted to remind everyone that there would be more Desparing Times to come, and her name also showed she was the first kitten to last the Depairing Times.
The only thing she got from her was her eyes which held the same reasurnce and confidence, Elmlark told Despairingowl that he died in a fight with a rouge, and had gone slowly with a infection in his guts. It saddened Desparingowl she had one parents but it made her happy that her mother didn’t go into deep depression. Her mother mourned of course, but she soon found another mate. Despairingowl did partially like her stepfather. She really didn’t know why she didn’t like him but he gave her an odd feeling.
For what Despairingowl knows she is pureblooded RiverClaner, no loner, rouge, or other clan cat has tainted their blood stream like many other cats. But she is unsure about Elmlark’s second litter with Littlewolf, she had heard rumors about the tom, some of the rumors said that he was Leafstar’s son, before she became leader. [Well, this isn’t Littlewolf’s past its Despairingowl, so back to her story.] Despairingowl has no recollection of having any other siblings, Elmlark told her she was the only kitten born to her besides Littlewolf’s kittens.
After a few moons of Littlewolf and Elmlark being together, Desapringowl found out why Littlewolf gave her a bad feeling, one night while she was hunting alone in the woods she caught scent of Littlewolf. A little worried that he might be stalking her, she did a few quick turns. When she was satified that he wasn't following her, she went back and followed his scent back to a tree. What she found there made her reach. Many little animal's where found mutilated and split open. Blood splattered at the base of a tree. Littlewolf had killed this animals potentinal food for the clan. She sat there for a few seconds before turning to leave. Before her paw could leave the ground, she heard a soft mewling sound. She quickly turned and searched for it. Under the root of a tree, lay a dying kitten. It was Elmlark's newest kitten, Lashkit. Without hesitating she picked the kitten up and was about to take off for the second time. When Littlewolf stepped from the underbrush. There was a light in the tom's eyes, that Desparingstar knew he had finelly taken the step off the deep end. Without stopping to fight him. The feline took off back to came, taking the wounded kitten with her.
She made it in time, she dropped off the kitten after awaking the Med cat. She ran to her mother's den, when she got there her mother was gone. She left no scent behind for Desparingowl to follow. She never seen her mother and Littlewolf again. She can only assume the worst.
When she was about six-teen moons she decided she’d call out the rouge that killed her father. She was told she’d never find him/her. But she did, one thing her mother left out is that there where two rouges ones’ name Brillowpad a one eyed tom, and Darkstream a crazed she-cat. Both cats sneered at her, saying if they could undo the past, they fix many things. But killing her father they’d never undo. Despairingowl knew she couldn’t fight them, they where two well trained both in Clan life and in Rouge life. But she had to defend her father’s honor, which was a really big mistake on her part. That is where she got most of her scars is from the fight with Darkstream and Brillowpad. The three scars on her rump is from Darkstream, Brillowpad got less hits in he only scratched her over her eye. The wound on her rump nearly killed her from infection and blood loss, but she was close enough to home she managed to get herself home.
Despairingowl had only one mate in her life and she loved him to no end. She had three kits with him, [anyone who wishes to make her kittens may do so and RP with them.] Her mate --–Shimmeringcall— died of heat stoke [he was a long haried tom.] She was about twenty moons old when she had her kittens, they are all grown now. After all her kittens where made warriors the leader at the time had died and the deputy had become leader.
Role Playing Example:
I’m hearing voices telling me that I should get some sleep because tomorrow might be good for something.
A lone feline crested a hill, its short hair not even wavering in the slight breeze; that over took the vast emptiness of the surrounding plains. It looked as if it belonged there, in the naked land that stretched for miles ahead of it. The lone cat hesitated for a moment’s time, its paw lifted. Its head cantered to the right, its green orbs over looking the area, and possessiveness turned over its eyes. The cat rested its paw finely. The feline’s finely shaped maw fell of a loud sound came from its throat; the strange sound lingered over the air infront of it. The sound was diminished by a second, this one was softer more distant. Like an evaporating pool of rain. The feline’s arched ears flicked forwards its eyes opened expectantly, the happiness was washed out abruptly by coldness. Something was wrong, something wasn’t right..
“Bluepaw!” Despairingowl called loudly, her normal cool, collected voice was awash with sadness. “Despairingowl..” The voice answered, the breeze that bathed the female cat took the voice away from her and scattered over the rolling hills. A slow, annoyed sound slithered from her maw. In a quick and graceful movement the tawny she-cat raced down the hill she had stopped on. Her feminine paws glided over the grassy stocks, only touching the ground to propel her faster. A well made muscles rippled under her pelt, flexing accordingly to what they needed to do. She stopped again in the center of a coolie, her head whipping this was and that. Her ears flicking side to side trying to pick up any movement the ThunderClan apprentice might have made.
“Come here you little runt! Your pitiful friend will never hear you.” A raspy voice crackled. Despairingowl automatically dropped to hunter’s crouch. Her muscles tightened as she crept forwards, her wickedly sharp claws dislodged themselves from her paws and began to dig into the ground before her. She slithered up the hill. Her paws avoiding dry twigs and grass. “Y-y-yes s-s-she w-w-will.” Stuttered Bluepaw her voice wavering between agreement and hope. “Humph, her mother never came for her father.” Taunted a third voice, this one more clear then the first one. Anger rocked through Despairingstar’s lanky body, her fur began to bristle dangerously. Her blood raced in her vines like molten lava. “Do you always speak ill of the dead?” Hissed the tawny she-cat, “she’s dead?” Answered a black tom, his large body lifting out of the tall grass. “Why aren’t you?” Asked a rugged brown she-cat, a cold look lifting into her eyes. The stocks wiggled slightly as a young she-cat pulled herself weakly to her paws, her bluish pelt rippled majestically in the dimming sunlight. The tom that answered Despairingstar first spoke it again. “Aw, big bad Despairing flight has come to save little Bluepaw.” Mock sadness singed in the tom’s clear voice. “Bluepaw, snake, run!” Despairingstar hissed, the younger she-cat’s ear prickled forwards, before turning a doing what her leader asked, her long body waving quickly in and out of the stocks, very snake-like. “Now Brillowpad, and Darkstream. Its time to settle the score." She growled, their laughter jumped from the stocks about thirty fox lengths away. “Some other time..Some..Other..Time.” And then they where gone..
