[shadow=yellow,left,300]Flamekit[/shadow]
Flamekit looked around cautiously. It was the middle of the day, but her mother, Gingersnap, was sleeping. She was waaaaaaay over six moons. She should be able to get out of camp, technically, right? She definitely should be an apprentice right now. She tip-toed out of the nursery, then tried to look as unsuspicious as possible as she trotted out of the camp.
Once out, she smiled. She had done it without getting caught! She ran out in the forest. After a second or two, she began getting turned around. She swore she had seen that branch before. Was she going in circles? How far away was camp? It was then she realized she was lost. Now she was scared. In her mind, she yearned for her mother. How she wished she hadn't been so stupid and foolish.
Flamekit's head was starting to play tricks on her. Was that a shadow she saw behind that bush? When she looked again, it was gone. Then she heard a crack of a stick. What if it was a badger? What if it was a fox? She ran, her heart pounding.
Finally, Flamekit reached a strangely smooth surface. It didn't match any description of the forest that she had heard of before. Perhaps she was on ShadowClan's territory? But as Flamekit sniffed around, she only scented ThunderClan... and twolegs, lots of them. Why was the scent of twolegs so strong. As she was sniffing around, a shadow appeared in front of her. As she turned, she was swept up, put into a web of hard rock. "MOTHER!" Flamekit called desperately. "GINGERSNAP!" she called her mother's real name, hoping somehow that would help. "ANYONE!" Her last desperate call for help ended in echoes and silence. She was alone in this cage with her captor. As she looked up, she saw her future fate of living with numerous twolegs, being fed horrible food, and never living in the forest again. A tear slipped from her eye.
The Twoleg knelt down in front of the kitten. "I'll call you Ginger."
