Waterpaw

A light grey she-cat bounded happily down to the Drinking pool. The weather was perfect, not to hot or cold at the moment. The she-cat bent down lapped up some water then looked behind her as if checking for trouble but that wasn't what she was doing she was checking for her sister who in a way was trouble. "Amberpaw, are you coming?" she called out. Not too loud of course, she didn't want to scare prey from the area regardless if she was hunting.

Amberpaw

Another light grey she-cat that looked exactly like Waterpaw except for her amber eyes came bounding down the hill faster than her sister had and she came right after she had called for her. She let out a giggle as she ran into Waterpaw causing her to fall into the pool of water. "Ha! Your name truly suits you now, Waterpaw!" Amberpaw teased her sister. She sat down on the edge as her sister scrambled to her paws

Waterpaw let out a hiss when she got her paws. "Why do you always have to cause trouble!" She padded out angrily of the water and shook off some of the water onto Amberpaw.

"Why can't you take a joke," Amberpaw retorted ignoring the water her sister shook onto her. "Besides I'm your sister it's my job," she added in a matter-of-fact tone. She sounded like a smart-aleck and in fact she envied her sister's tact but would never follow her lead. Anyone listening would probably find there banter funny.

Venompaw

It happened quickly, suddenly a black tom cat appeared out of no where, his pelt bristling. He seemed not to noticed either she-cats, and by the expression upon his face it seemed he would rather be left alone. Sadly though two other cats trailed behind him. His tortoiseshell sister Flypaw and his identical black brother Snakepaw. Quickly the she-cat and tomcat leaped forward, making the bristling tomcat freeze. Furiously he froze in his tracks, a snarl building up to a dangerous level. His tail lashing back and forth.

Venompaw stalked forward his midnight black pelt bristling with fury. His teeth were bared and his blue eyes were flashing with a building rage. "I don't care!" He snarled, digging his claws into the deep earth. He felt nothing but the rage building inside of him and it seemed the only thing that calmed him was when he looked at the scar he'd given his sister. Though the expression across his face was smug, not really regret. Then he stepped forward again, only to be stopped by Snakepaw moving forward to meet him.

"Move!" Venompaw hissed his voice dropping to a low whisper. He had been, until now, been planning to cross into another Clan's territory. To do what he would reveal, however he seemed neither bothered nor guilt ridden when admitting this to his siblings. It did seem though that he regretted telling them for now they were following him around, and they would not let him go any further. Venompaw trembled with anger and he just barely noticed the two she-cats. He snarled lightly at them, but they seemed to be bantering themselves. Well Venompaw would leave them to it, he was going to get by wether Snakepaw tried to stop him or not.

Snakepaw

The identical black tom took a stiff step forward, his darker blue eyes flashing with a burning fire not unlike his brothers. "You are completely mouse-brained Venompaw!" He snapped lashing his tail from side to side. He's gone to far, there has to be something we can do. "You can't just wander on to anyone's territory Willy nilly." Snakepaw was more worried about what would happen to his brother of course, even if the stupid fur ball was hard to deal with. However as he began moving left and right he noticed the way Venompaw's muscles were bunched. Was he going to attack him, surely not after what had happened with Flypaw. Then again he hadn't cared then, and he almost killed her. He did not trust him anymore, for Venompaw was capable of more than he seemed. Which proved to be true when a caterwail broke from his body and he lunged, teeth bared toward Snakepaw's throat. Fear and hurt raged through Snakepaw's body as he stumbled back, his body spiraling to the ground as Venompaw bowled him over.

"Venompaw!" He gasped feeling sharp teeth grip his shoulder. Than battle rage consumed him, a snarl rose in his throat. He reached out with his claws and struck his brother again and again. He would not tolerate being attacked like his sister. Nor did he need his mother to stop the fight. With a ferocious growl he pummeled his brother soft belly fur with his sharp claws. Blood spattered the ground and Venompaw let out a agonized wail, before digging his thorn sharp teeth into Snakepaw's neck.

Flypaw

Flypaw watched with growing horror as her brothers fought like enemy Clan's. She paced forward only to jerk back as they rolled. It seemed that Venompaw had the upper hand for he was tearing at his brothers stomach, like Snakepaw had been doing moments before. A furious snarl rose from Snakepaw, filled with anger, hurt and agony. He pushed Venompaw off, rolled to the side and lunged. Like a snake striking his prey. Venompaw was to slow to react, Snakepaw was already upon him, his claws digging deep into his brothers body. Blood spattering everyone.

"Stop!" She screeched lunging forward, Venompaw struck her before she could move, his claws scraping roughly across her face. Flypaw, however, did not give up. She lunged again reaching toward Snakepaw this time, but they grappled away from her. Flypaw stopped, watching instead as the rolled. Their caterwailing was so loud, the sound of blood hitting grass. Their furious snarls, and growls seemed so very loud. How could no one here them? Quickly Flypaw looked around, she could not pull them apart without injuring herself, however she couldn't just leave them to fight it out. She suddenly noticed the two fellow apprentices. She lunged toward them, her amber eyes wide.

"Help!" She yelped looking at them with fear. She could not fight Venompaw like Snakepaw was now. How could she be afraid of her brother, well after he'd almost killed her no one blamed her. Venompaw was getting out of control, doing everything under the sun. It was going to end badly, someone was going to get killed. "Amberpaw, Waterpaw please help me pull them apart."

[Fighting is just our nature it seems.]

Waterpaw's blue eyes widened as she saw the fight unfold and then Flypaw was pleading for help. In an instant she got to her feet and leaped forward without even hesitating to think about what she was doing. All she knew that two apprentices within the same clan should never fight, especially siblings. She pounced on top of Venompaw with her claws sheathed and a hissed seeped through her lips, "Stop!" Her teeth then sank in his scruff and she tugged hard.

Amberpaw reacted only when she saw her only sister leap forward. She then too sprang forward, charging towards the other battling cat. She barreled into Snakepaw trying to seperate both of them. She could care less about Venompaw and Snakepaw fight but if Waterpaw was involved she would also get involved. "Help Waterpaw," she called towards Flypaw.

Venompaw

A snarl of pure hatred protruded from the tomcats throat, he dug his claws into his brothers shoulder. "You will die!" He hissed softly, ripping his claws down. Blood spattered his pelt but he did not care. All he could feel was the excitement of battle, the feeling of be invincible, of being able to hurt anyone. No cat was going to get in his way. A red haze covered his eyes, and he craved the blood that he tasted. Venompaw bit down, basking in the glory of hearing his brothers screech of agony. Than he was yanked back to reality, Waterpaw digging her teeth into his scruff.

"Stop me will you!" He snarled furiously, releasing his hold on his brother. He spun his body around, hoping that Waterpaw would loose her hold on him. He bared his teeth in anger and swiped his thorn sharp claws.

Snakepaw

Snakepaw began to panic, a trapped feeling wrestling within him. His brother was stronger than he had planned, at 10 moons it seemed Venompaw was no longer the weaker one of the bunch. Snakepaw jerked back only to have his brother gain another advantage. Pain lashed again and again through his body until he thought he would loose his hold on the world. NO! Venompaw is not going to kill me! Snakepaw snarled and used all his strength to push up. He quickly gained the upper control as the two brothers rolled, Snakepaw winning now that he was raking his claws again and again across his brother.

"Stop!" Flypaw screeched, freezing Snakepaw. He lost his hold Venompaw swiped his claws achingly down his face. Snakepaw hissed with pain but he'd lost his concentration, the swift beat of battle was gone from his body. He was struggling to free himself from Venompaw than Waterpaw came, his hold loosened. Thank you Waterpaw....AMBERPAW! Snakepaw was just squirming away triumphant that he'd escaped with out further injuries however at that exact moment Amberpaw barreled into him. Putting a bigger void between Venompaw and Snakepaw.

"Ouch." Snakepaw mumbled struggling to his paws after rolling a little bit. He was drenched in blood and water, standing as he was in the drinkingpool. Than being as hotheaded as he was he glared at Amberpaw, not really paying attention to what was going on with Waterpaw. "I can fight my own battles thanks!"

Flypaw

Flypaw felt so much relief that Waterpaw and Amberpaw were helping her. Three against two would have to better than her against her own siblings. Quickly on swift feet she raced toward Waterpaw, nodding as she passed Amberpaw. Of course she would help, she wouldn't just stand there like a twit. Though some thought she could not fight her own battles since Venompaw had ripped open her throat and Amberflower, their mother, had to break it up.

"Venompaw stop!" Flypaw shouted realizing a second to late what her brother was doing as he spun. He was not trying to get away from Waterpaw but instead was trying to attack her now that she was pulling on. Flypaw shot forward, a blur of tortoiseshell fur as she moved, her body barreling toward Waterpaw and Venompaw.

[Anger. Why does that emotion always seem stongest.]

Waterpaw

Waterpaw acted quickly when Venompaw turned on her and forgot Snakepaw. She released her hold and scrambled away, out of reach of his teeth and claws that nearly got her. She felt them go through her fur and just nipped the skin. It sent shivers down her spine. "I already have you fool!" She hissed in a tone that was a mixture of anger and annoyance. A tone that she used with Amberpaw a lot. She moved so Venompaw wouldn't be able to see Snakepaw only her. She hated stupid fights like these. They were pointless! They ony cause unneeded bloodshed.

Amberpaw

Amberpaw snorted, "Yeah right!" She rolled her eyes but her attention then winged to Waterpaw. Her eyes flitted over to her identical sister. "Just stay out of the way," she hissed to Snakepaw as she straightened up and sprinted over to Waterpaw. She skidded to a stop beside Waterpaw and glared at Venompaw. "Why in the name of Starclan did you attack," she growled angerly not even caring if answered the question. She was just anger at him for turning on Waterpaw.

Small white paws barely made a sound on the ground. Icefang didn't even notice the bickering. He was too busy searching for cat-mint. With leaf-bare on it's way they would need some and soon. "Stop!" Icefang snapped his golden amber eyes from the ground. A group of apprentices were barely a tail-length away. It looked like they had been fighting too. Icefang's eyes fell on Venompaw. The cat was clearly hostile. Despite the fact that Venompaw was bigger, the medicine cat stormed forward. His golden amber eyes flashed with outrage. "Venompaw, Snakepaw, Waterpaw, what in the name of Star-clan is your reasoning for fighting with your own clan-mates? And so near a border?"

[Help has many forms...and so does annoyances.]

Waterpaw relaxed when the Medicine Cat, Icefang arrived. She breathed a sigh of relief. "Icefang we were only trying to get Venompaw off of Snakepaw. I didn't want to fight neither did Amberpaw or Flypaw but I thought if I didn't fight then Venompaw would have probably hurt Snakepaw" She said the excuse coming naturally to her seeing as it was pretty much the truth. She looked at Amberpaw who had her eyes locked on Venompaw still. "Right, Amberpaw?"

Amberpaw glanced at Waterpaw for a second. "Ah...sure," she said though shehad barely heard what Waterpaw. She was glaring at Venompaw. Mousebrain...Traitor! I would just love to rip your fur off, she thought angerly. Her eyes then flickered to to the Medicine Cat but only for a second. There was no way she would relax when in front of a 'Traitor'. She didn't even realize her sister roll her eyes annoyed at how she was acting.

A cold laugh escaped from his open maw and his body instantly relaxed. His light icy blue eyes flitted over to Amberpaw, harsh and distant. "Why did I attack?" He meowed with a clipped tone, his voice full of scorn and hate. Venompaw took a step forward, his pelt still bristling. His posture still somewhat hostile. His tail flicked back and forth and another laugh escaped from him. "I merely wanted to see him bleed."

Venompaw took a quick step back as soon as the Medicine Cat came near, his lip curled over in disgust and he barely stopped himself from growling at him. Always stopping my fun. Venompaw flicked his ears and than stepped around each of the cats, chuckling as he went. He almost seemed insane but truly he seemed to find something truly amusing.

"I guess I needed to practice my fighting moves." He meowed toward Icefang not even glancing his way. He left this time toward camp, waving his tail in farewell before disappearing from view.

Snakepaw opened his mouth, ready to reply to Amberpaw once more when she ran off to help Waterpaw. Snakepaw turned toward his own sister before watching the twins and his own brother. "I guess she thinks Waterpaw can't fight her own fights." He meowed with a smirk, only to jerk back as his sister threw him a death glare. Snakepaw stuck his tongue out and than watched with amusement as Icefang came to break up the fight.

"Sorry," He called out hoping the Medicine Cat was not to angry. After all he would probably have to see him for his bleeding shoulder pretty soon. Great, thanks a bunch Venompaw. Snakepaw let out a soft sigh and than padded quickly over to where his brother was just leaving. Snakepaw froze, amazed and downright disbelieving as his brother carried on his way. "Venompaw! Wait!" Snakepaw looked apologetically at the other cats before bolting after his brother once more.

"I'm really sorry," Flypaw whispered dropping her gaze to the ground. Her shyness was showing once more, now that she wasn't fighting. The calico she-cat felt shamed that she had been fighting but like Waterpaw had said what could they have done. Let Venompaw tear her brother to shreds. Flypaw raised her head once more to glare at Snakepaw when she heard his mumbled comment but other than that she ignored him. "I thank you for helping me Waterpaw and Amberpaw."

Flypaw turned toward Icefang, relaxing as she did so. She had to do this, there was no point in pretending nothing was going on with her brother. After all he kept hurting cats and ignoring rules. However she could think of nothing to say to Icefang. What would he be able to do for her brother anyway. Maybe this was something that would never get fixed or maybe it was something only Flypaw and Snakepaw could do.

Instead of following her brothers she turned toward Waterpaw and Amberpaw a little shy still. "Do you mind if I...if I stay with you guys?" she asked softly feeling a rush of panic. She wasn't very good around others. "I really don't want to go around with Snakepaw and Venompaw right now."

Worry pulsed from his golden amber eyes. 'This apprentice does not even care he has broken the warrior code' Icefang turned his head to Flypaw. "Of course not young Flypaw. You have done nothing wrong here." The small white cat peered at the apprentice. She seemd to be bothered by something. The flicker of her eyes, the twitch of her tail. He flicked his ears. 'She wants to tell me something I think' Out loud he meowed, "Amberpaw, Waterpaw, would you do me a favor? Go to camp and tell Breezestar that I may be awhile, I'm going to look for some catmint. Flypaw you stay with me, I'll need the extra mouth." Medicine cats really weren't supposed to lie, and truly it wasn't a whole lie. He just hoped Amberpaw would cooperate.
