Name: Rainwhisper
Gender: She-Cat
Clan: ThunderClan
Age: Twenty-one moons.
Rank: Medicine Cat
Description: usera.imagecave.com/starrysky3000/galaxywhisper.png ignore the eyes color. xD
the eyes
Rainwhisper's eyes are one of her most defining traits - something you would definitely remember about her, even if you never saw her again. Her irises are an impossibly light shade of yellow, the color of dandelions or daffodils. They have the tendency to refract every single particle of light, often giving them a sparkling appearance, like a million little stars in the depths of the sky.
the pelt
There is not much to say about Rainwhisper's pelt - it is rather plain compared to the vivid colors of some of her clanmates. It is compromised almost completely of the color white - not an exact, snowy white, but more of an ivory hue. The only spot she is not solid white, is on her head, where two patches stretch from the bridge of her nose, up to her ears and to the back of her head. There is one on each side, completely identical to each other. Her fur is long and silky, very well kept. it usually smells like the assorted herbs that Rainwhisper works with all day.
the body
Rainwhisper has a very thin and wiry build. It is hidden beneath all of her fur, but even though she is only the medicine cat, Rainwhisper is actually not as weak as you'd think. of course, she is only an okay fighter at best, but her hunting skills are not too shabby, and she is at least capable of catching a mouse or two. She has long legs and an even longer tail, which sticks out like a feathery plume behind her.
Personality:
iNDEPENDANT.
To put it simply, Rainwhisper likes to do things on her own. She prefers to hunt for her own food, when she has the time, and usually refuses apprentices who want to help collect herbs. However, Rainwhisper is usually smart enough to know when to swallow her pride and simply accept the aide.
HEADSTRONG.
Rainwhisper, if nothing else, is sure of herself. She knows what she's doing, and she knows she knows what she's doing. Most of the time. One of Rainwhisper's flaws is that she has a hard time admitting that she is wrong - she likes to be right. All of the time.
SARCASTiC.
When she becomes impatient (which is more often than you'd think) or is simply joking around, Rainwhisper can become rather sarcastic. She can be mean when she wants to be, but she almost never means anything she says.
PLAYFUL.
Rainwhisper has many friends because of her jokey manner. She knows how to be funny and entertaining, though she doesn't always know when to be serious. She loves to play with the clan's kits and apprentices, and is quite popular among most of the clan
History:
Rainwhisper was born twenty-one moons ago, to the ThunderClan warriors, Lunarstripe and Moonshine. Both of her parents were very young - barely out of apprenticeship, when Rainkit and her brother, Nightkit, were born. Moonshine loved his two kits dearly, but Lunarstripe was not ready for, nor did she want, to have kits. The stress of raising the two kittens made Lunarstripe hate them even more then she previously did; she wouldn't even take a second glance at them. often, Galaxywhisper's parents would get into raging arguments in front of the their children, waking them and half the clan in the dead of night with their yowling.
It wasn't even that Rainkit and Nightkit were poorly behaved, in fact, it was on the contrary - while many other kits were out playing and having fun, the two would sit silently, side-by-side, in an effort to make their mother happy. But still, she continued to ignore them; calling them 'little monsters' and 'rats' both to their faces and behind their backs. poor Nightkit could never figure out why his mother was so mad at him, and he desperately sought her approval for everything, vainly trying to get her to love him. Rainkit was just as bothered by the lack of love. She didn't know what was wrong either, and along with her brother, tried everything she could think of to try and get her mother to care about them.
It was when Rainkit and her brother were around five moons old, that Lunarstripe finally disappeared for good, leaving the clan without a trace - no one ever saw her again. Moonshine grew more and more distant after his mate's disappearance, as Rainkit and Nightkit grew more and more concerned for their father, hoping that they would not lose another parent. Moonshine had started to harm himself, claw marks visible on his wrists, and Rainkit and Nightkit knew not what to do about it.
But they had nothing to worry about, for even though Moonshine was devastated at Lunarstripe's loss, he could not bring himself to leave his kits alone in the world. Though he struggled for moons with his depression, Moonshine eventually recovered over his sorrow, returning once more to his life, and focusing on more than just the dissapearance of Lunarstripe.
By the time that Rainkit and Nightkit were apprenticed at six moons, their lives couldn't seem to get even more perfect, despite their missing mother. Then Nightpaw caught greencough. Rainpaw, who was apprenticed to the warrior Frostpelt at the time, refused to leave her brother's side. As a result, she fell further and further behind in her warrior training, but of course, Rainpaw could have cared less. She spent hours in the medicine cat's den, helping take care of the sick and injured of the clan.
It was during this time that the medicine cat of the clan, Galebreeze, had decided that it was time for an apprentice, and Rainpaw seemed to fit the bill. After a short conference with the clan's leader, it was decided; Rainpaw was to be the new medicine cat apprentice of ThunderClan.
Though she ultimately lost her brother to greencough, Rainpaw was a fast learner, and Galebreeze a good teacher. Rainpaw learned a lot from the medicine cat, and by the time she was old enough to gain her new name, her knowledge was just about equal to that of her teacher's. It was not long after StarClan renamed Rainpaw, that her mentor was sent to the elder's den, as his failing eyesight was beginning to impede his judgement. Rainwhisper has since been tending as best she can to her clan on her own.
IC/ Roleplaying Example:
Out of no where the female just stopped. Her eyes were closed, and she stood there for a moment. The she twitched her ears and lifted her head. In doing so she opened her eyes slowly. She had a sweet smile laid across her face and her gentile eyes looked out through the camp entrance. Turning her head she lashed her tail and walked over to the fresh kill pile. She picked up a small mouse, not the one that she had just tortured. She smiled and blinked her eyes once again. Her soft eyes seemed to fill with sympathy as she stared down at the mouse. Shaking the look away, a slip menacing smile appeared over her maw, a smile of pure malice. Rasping a tongue around her maw she bared her teeth as to devour the mouse, but no. Simply she took a small bite of the mouse, tearing the skin off, and into the bloody warm inside. She let out a purr of satisfaction as the warm blood oozed down her through. She blinked her large eyes and felt the tips of blood on her maw. She rasped her tongue around her maw, leaving a slight stain on her fur. The females eyes darkened, and she shook her head in frustration. Sighing, she got up from her meal and walked out of camp. By now the whole camp knew after she ate, she headed for some water.
As she reached the water, she cleansed her face and blinked her eyes at the now bright sun. Lapping up some of the water she felt very refreshed, and awake. Shaking the water off her clean face she lashed her tail and headed back to camp.
