Disastor[REAPER&ANGELNEEDED]

She ran in as fast as her paws could carry her. At least, with Feathersong on her back she did. She skidded to a halt in the middle of camp and lay the she-cat down gently. She knew Tawnystorm, Rainstorm and Flowerpetal would not be far behind, "HELP! HELP! ROGUE'S ATTACKED US! REAPERSTAR! ANGELWINGS!" She screeched, her heart was pounding and her head hurt terribly. She felt a wave of nasuea but shoved it down. "REAPERSTAAAR!"

Reaperstar burst from the nursery. He was more than a little annoyed at the moment. He was missing his mate's first moments of being a mother right now! Then he saw her, his heart plunged to his chest. Feathersong was lying limply on the ground before him. Darkness ebbed at his vision but he didn't stop. He turned his blue gaze to Frostedfate, his pelt bristling in alarm. They reeked of crowfood. "Frostedfate, what in the name of Star Clan just happened?"

Rapidfire was being carried, how humiliating. Still the pain was too intense to walk. As he slid from Ebonyblood's back he let out a cry of pain. Reaperstar's head snapped over to his direction. Alarm coursed through Rapidfire's body as he saw the still form of Feathersong at his leader's paws, Star Clan tell me she's not dead.

Reaperstar twisted his head around as he heard a cry of agony. "Rapidfire?" He meowed, the cat was terribly wounded. His bone was potruding from his leg. "What is the meaning of this? My deputy is wounded? A warrior unconcious, Frostedfate you look ready to pass out yourself. What happened? Angelwings!" He called, desperate for his Medicine Cat. "We need you here, now! Flowerpetal, if your feeling alright please go into the nursery. Stay with Cinderfoot, she's just kitted and I don't want her to get too nervous."

Rapidfire lay on his side. The world was terribly fuzzy to him, and spinning. He sighed to himself and muttered, "Don't know what went on..." He grunted, "With Tawnystorm's patrol." He winced as agony swept through him, "I was chasing a squirrel. The branch broke. I landed...on..." He screeched as his muscle spasmed painfully, jerking terribly. His leader came close to him, looking at him with warm and gentle eyes, "It was all my fault. I'm so...mousebrained..."

"You're fine. You'll be fine." Rapidfire saw that Feathersong had raised her head and was watching him. Probably why his leader had left her side for that moment. "Feathersong's alright. She's dizzy but she's not bleeding and can remember everything fine. I don't need to be a Medicine Cat to realize she just overloaded and passed out."

"Good." Rapidfire meowed he raised his head to speak but Reaperstar meowed gently.

"No, shush. Save your strength." He was staring at the leg, a horror growing inside of him. I don't have to be a Medicine Cat to realize...there is no way he'll...his leg... His thoughts jumbled together terribly, he wanted nothing more than to return to the nursery and curl close to Cinderfoot. To close his eyes and breath her soft scent and believe this was all a terrible nightmare. He couldn't though, he was a leader.

Angelwings

The sickening stench, the overwhelming taste of fear on her tongue. She was horrified, her tiny body moving quickly. Bolting from her den, her fur bristling. Her mouth crammed pack full with all the herbs she needed. The sight that greeted her broke her heart. Her Clan, her family. Her children! What was going on...was StarClan trying to tell her something.

"Reaperstar I'm here." She meowed calmly, her eyes giving none of her pains of fears away. Quickly she began to weave between the cats, trying to find the most injured. Like Rapidfire. "Oh Raipidfire." Her voice was quiet, but full of the agony she didn't want to show. Luckily she was beside Feathersong when she had uttered that. Quickly she pushed that from her mind, turning instead to look the she-cat over.

"You seem to be OK. However I want you to chew some of this thyme here OK." She meowed, gently pushing the herb closer to Feathersong. She needed to tend to Rapidfire, and quickly. She must see to that bone. As soon as she was sure that Feathersong had heard her she quickly made her way over to the tomcat. Rapidfire, Rapidfire my dear friend what has happened to you? "Rapidfire I am dearly sorry but I must place the bone back. We must have it healing right, or you'll get an infection or something worse alright. This is going to hurt, I'm very sorry."

Then she gently placed her paws on his leg, and with a quick jerk she snapped the bone back into its place. "Sorry, so sorry." She meowed, her voice soft and comforting. Though she was sure he would not be able to hear her. Either he was going to pass out, or scream bloody murder.

"Thankyou." Reaperstar breathed, relief flooding to his paws. She stopped to speak with Feathersong first. He turned his blue gaze on his deputy, "Everything will be fine."

Rapidfire met his leader's gaze very evenly, "As much as I respect you Reaperstar, I have to doubt you...this once." He watched closely as Angelwings came close, sniffing his wound. He winced as she took the paw and then shoved. His eyes rolled back into his head and he collapsed on the ground, unconscious. He twitched once and then his eyes fluttered open, Reaperstar was above him meowing quickly. He couldn't make out the words.

Feathersong was chewing on the thyme. She didn't know if she was supposed to eat it, so she didn't. She spat it out after a bit and got up with a wince. Her shoulder still hurt badly where the huge rogue had gotten her with his claws. She limped over to Reaperstar and snapped at him, "Shut up. If you keep talking his ear off he'll overload. Keep your mouth quiet for once, and no, don't give me the whole 'you-can't-speak-to-your-leader-in-that-way' look. I'm talking to you as a sister. Calm down."

Reaperstar watched her for a moment and then meowed gently, "You should rest."

Frostedfate stood up and walked gingerly to her leader, "Reaperstar, if you really need to be with Cinderfoot now, and I think you should be with her, you can leave now. I'll tell you now that we were attacked by rogues. They seemed to recognize Flowerpetal, Tawnystorm and Rainstorm but I can't really be sure about that." She levelled her emerald gaze on her leader sternly, "Whatever is going on in the Clan you should be with your mate now. Gazing at your kits like a love-struck tom should. Now please, Reaperstar, take this advice and go spend some time with Cinderfoot. Angelwings and I will handle this now. You can count on us, and if Rapidfire gets better or worse I'll come in and tell you. Alright?"

Reaperstar put his tail across the warrioress's shoulders. "I am grateful to what you have just said. I love Cinderfoot with all my heart. I will visit her...after the meeting I will have to make." He turned his blue gaze on his Medicine Cat and said in the calmest voice he could manage, "Rapidfire...he won't be able to ever use that leg will he." He did not state it as a question but a fact. It was truth, plain and simple.

Sound finally came to Rapidfire's ears, the moment Reaperstar put forth the blunt question. Pain sliced through his heart that was worse than the agony he was in now. Worse than any wound he had ever recieved. He stared down at his mangled leg, still twisted at an impossible angle. It wouldn't bend down, even when it healed. Rapidfire knew that. His heart breaking he looked up at Reaperstar and meowed steadily, "In doing something simply stupid I have betrayed my Clan. For that, I am deeply sorry Reaperstar. My leg may never move again, no, it won't until I join the ranks of Star Clan. You may replace my position with my blessing my old friend."

Reaperstar stayed silent for a moment and then turned to Angelwings, "He's made his decision." He turned and licked Rapidfire on the head before bounding over to where he would make his meeting...
