They found her body resting by the river,,The wind battered the trees, making the branches dance and snap, making the leaves tremble and fall. It was becoming colder and colder in Shadowclan as they neared leaf-bare. It would probably snow within the next few days. The breezes continued to roar, raking through the she-cats silk fur. She didn't mind though, she embarced the cold with open paws. To her, Shadowclan was the strongest of every clan around the lake. They were much better at surviving during hard times and never did they ask for help. They actually had a little pride and self-respect, not at all like Thunderclan she sneered at the name. Thunderclan was weak and even after the many stories she somewhat resented Firestar, he had been a kittypet. What gave him the right to lead a whole clan?
Alderdance shook her head. Sure she had her moment's of weakness but she was a strong cat. She'd gotten past her once broken state of mind. The only thing was, some of her clan mates still did not trust her, especially the queens. They stared at her with accusing eyes, never letting her anywhere near their kits. Like she would dare to harm a kit! She snorted at the idea, she had loved her kits, it was their father she had hated so much. He had been the reason she had been so callous for so very long. After all, it's not like she had let her kits starve. She'd taken perfectly good care of them physically. Now her son was a loya warrior, ah her dear Lightheart. He was every mother's dream.
Her paws thudded silently as she continued along the border, remarking their territory as she went. Her slender frame seemed so fragile, it was almost hard to believe that this feline was lethal. But that was exactly what she was. She could rip out the fur of any cat who was not part of Shadowclan. No one, no one messed with her. It seemed some of her own clan mates even fear the dangerous look in her emerald, green eyes. No matter, they would have to trust her if there was a battle, she'd be the one protectng their backs.

[glow=maroon, 2,300]Hawktalon[/glow] Hawktalon's swift paws led him here. He stopped, breathing heavily but loving it all. A few moons ago the former kittypet would have never been able to do this. Not at all. Even after Reaperstar had taken over he was allowed to stay! That made him happier than ever. Even though some cat's hated him and Silverbell for being...well being from kittypet roots. Even after all of that it made him happy to be free. Then he saw Alderdance. His pelt bristled as he remembered the she-cat. She had never been outright rude to him, but that didn't mean she wouldn't be. He hoped she'd accepted him as a clanmember. Besides without Silverbell if they started arguing there'd be no holding him back. He had a terrible temper. He tried to seem friendly, "Hey...hey Alderdance." He meowed. [glow= maroon, 2,300]>>Honey why you calling me so late? It's kinda hard to talk right now. <<[/glow]

I never said goodbye,,
Her eyes flashed from their emerald coloring to a deep, jade green as soon as she scented the other cat. Her first instinct was the spin around and unsheath her claws, fangs cleary bared as a growl rose in her throat. The cat still smelled somewhat like a kittypet but she could make out the Shadowclan scent after another minute. She tried to force her bristling pelt to lay flat, seathing her claws as she looked over the tom. Hawktalon, that was his name wasn't it? She couldn't say she liked the tom, after all how could anyone respect a kittypet? But other than his roots she had nothing against him. She' never been on to judge too quickly so she had little against the tom. Still, if he were ever to step out of line it might take a little tooth and claw to show him who he was dealing with.
She wasn't like most cats. She had no problem with a good fight when it was needed. Of course she would never kill unless her life depended on it, she wasn't that callous. Besides, that would be against the warrior code. That was one thing she had faith in, Starclan, and it was they who had given them the code so she would follow it with all her heart. Her ears flickered at his greeting, eyes narrowing as she responded, "Hello Hawktalon. what brings you to the border today?" She would forever be suspicious of the former kittypets, who knew if he would one day turn and betray them? Return to his soft kittypet life? It was always a possiblity, cats could be quite tricky, she should know after all.
Alderdance didn't dare to turn her back or sit, he seemed slightly hostile to her. She would not give him the upper hand by trusting that he wouldn't do anything. Her tail lashed from side to side, a slight smirk curling around her mouth. Her pelt sparkled with good health as a ray of sun passed over them and she resisted the urge to dig her claws into the ground again.

Hawktalon breathed a sigh of relief. She wasn't going to attack him. Trying his best not to fly off the handle at the question she asked he replied slowly, "Looking for Silverbell actually. She's gone and flitted off somewhere in the woods. She's about as smart as kitty litter...erm, she's mouse-brained anyways." He meowed, "But she means well! She's just easily distracted!" Idiot! He thought crossly, If I blab things like that she'll be booted from the clan. [glow= maroon, 2,300]>>Honey why are you crying? Is everything okay? I gotta whisper cause I can't be too loud <<[/glow]

all the thoughts lead back to you,,
Her eyes searched the tom, she just didn't understand her leader's reasoning for allowing him or his sister to join their beloved clan. She remembered when he'd first announced them as part of Shadowclan, her eyes had stretched wide in disbelief, a loud yowl had caught in her throat. She'd been young than but she'd always been much more mature than her age showed. Haha it was more like a curse than a blessing though. She had been tormented by mental pain beyond belief but than, in the end, it had made her as strong as she was now. She would have been nothing without her mentor though. Silentstorm had been an amazing friend before Starclan had seen it fit for her to join there ranks.
Alderdance shook her head, ears twitching with a slight annoyance at his words about Silverbell. "Perhaps your sister still belongs in the apprentice den Hawktalon." Her words were sharp and curt, but than they were rarely any different. She held no pitty for the cats, no one could ever imagine the torture she had went through as a kit, apprentice and a young warrior. Only now did she find any peace of mind at all. She'd finally come to terms with her past, even if she did dread the day that Blackfang might return. She surpressed a shiver at the image of the large, black tom. He had been the worst part of her life. All those moons, he had been the devil in disguise.

[glow= maroon, 2,300]>>Well, my girl's in the next room Sometimes I wish she was you <<[/glow] Hawktalon bristled but forced it down. Finally after a pause he meowed, "You know, you're most likely right about that." He sighed heavily and flickered her ears, "She's not my sister though. We were friends. Just lived close to each other and all. She'll adjust though, when she's determined about something she'll never give up." He shook his head in disbelief and let his golden eyes fall on the warrioress. She was a cat that was worth looking up to, somebody who could be a great mentor. He shook his pelt, snapping from his reverie. It was rude to stare. "At least I'm not a rogue." He said gruffly as he walked a little off, truth be told he hated rogues. When he was very young he had gotten lost and was ruthlessly attacked by rogues. At least if he had been lost on Clan territory they would have pointed him in the right way, he'd only been a kit. If he caught a rogue doing that to a helpless kit like he had been he'd tear their pelts off.

oh and the day is lonely,,
Alderdance's ears twitched as she listened to the tom, well at least he had the sense to admit things like such, he wasn't quite so headstrong. She would never fully trust the other warrior but he held more of her respect than his friend did. She just didn't understand why Reaperstar had seen it fit for Silverbell to become a warrior when she still acted like a kit. Of course she respected her leader's choice, he probably knew what was best for her clan but she still held her doubts about the kittypets. She'd never been someone who trusted easily so that was really nothing new and she did try to at least get along with ats somewhat but of course that was hard. She'd always had a bad temper and most of the queens would always hate her.
She barely caught the tom's last words but she nodded her head in agreement. She opposed rogue's more than anything. They were nothing but traitors. Cats who had been exiled. She'd only met a few in her moons but those she had met had not escaped her without a few new wounds upon their frames. She was fierce in battle, even more so now than before. She fought for Shadowclan and her son, whom had finally come to accept her. Alderdance smiled slightly to herself. At least she knew she was doing something right. "So Hawktalon, why did you chose Shadowclan?" She asked, actually curious becuase truth be told, most outsiders went straight to Thunderclan. They accepted everyone after all.

Hawktalon stayed quiet for a very long time. Then he looked up at the she-cat near him and meowed in a steady voice, "When I first came I didn't truly believe in StarClan. I do now. Because...because I didn't just randomly show up. I feel like StarClan was leading my heart here. I don't know if you agree, you probably don't, but I feel like I belong in ShadowClan. I'll die to protect it, and I've never felt that way about anything in the whole world before. Not even Silverbell. Not even my own mother. I feel greatful to Reaperstar, and maybe that's part of it but I think it's more. Somehow I feel like, and it rightfully is, it is my duty to protect the clan that so graciously offered me a home. I guess I picked ShadowClan because part of me knew that I belonged here. Or would belong here."[glow= maroon, 2,300]>>I guess we never really moved on It's really good to hear your voice saying my name <<[/glow]
