The day was young, teeming with activity already and waiting for what might come. The birds sang their songs, the the mice ran across the floors and everything seemed to be peaceful. The forest wasn't dead and quiet any loner nor was it filled with the loud screams or ragging cats though. Everything was calm, just like before a storm would hit perhaps. But even that looked unlikely right now. No prophecy had told of troubles that she knew of. No dark clouds covered the sky. There was nothing to indicate trouble was coming. The sun shone and shone, brighter than ever, the blue skies were just that, a pretty baby blue with nothing to disturb the color other than a white fluff of cloud here or there, It was most cats idea of a perfect day. No worries, just doing what they do best, serving their clan well. No fighting, just training apprentices, patrolling and hunting. The usual routine that everyone took part in everyday. Even the rogues didn't seem to want to ruin this beautiful day. This was where she differed though. She wasn't like everyone else, all the other cats in Thornclan, all the other cats in the forest. She'd seen different things, had a different past and gone through her own share of hardships that some would never understand. Everything about her made her an outcast. Even her small size was unusual in her clan. She would always be Different.
Alderdance was slightly disgusted by the day. Half of her wished a thunderstorm would hit right than and there, no warning available. She was tired of happy, cheery things. Her life had been miserable since she'd been a kit in the nursery. At only three moons or so old she had ran away and hid in a field of flowers. Her parents didn't look for her. A cat named Silentstorm who later became her mentor found her. That was one of the few cats she would ever say she trusted and still cared for, even if she had joined Starclan now. She wouldn't forget all the old she-cat had done for her, even in her moments of insanity. She may be a bit crazed from everything that she went through but if anyone would just give her a chance, anyone, maybe things could be different. The only thing was, no one cared. No matter what no one cared. The she-cats all hated her for the way she'd been as a queen but that was wrong of them. She had not wanted those kits and she'd had her affection for them. She really did love them but she couldn't show it because of who their father was. She had refused to show any emotion other than anger for so long that she was just prone to it these days.
Her calico fur shone brightly in the rays of sun, and her slender frame looked even smaller compared to all of the trees that loomed around her home. Sometimes cats still mistook her for an apprentice if they didn't know her. Of course that just made it worse and made her temper flare. She was tired of it all. Sometimes she just wished Starclan would take her away, she wanted to be ok again. Her emerald, green eyes searched the area, landing on a tom not far off. She cursed slightly under her breathe but did she really mind company? Part of her said to be friendly and go talk to him, the other half was screaming at her to back away and run. She didn't know what part of herself to listen to though so she stood, frozen to the spot. Her ears flickered and she wondered if he had heard her trampling around like an angry badger, surely he had. She knew she'd probably scared of good prey too but at the moment she didn't care. She wasn't the one hunting so honestly she didn't think of her clan mates because they never seemed to think of her. She wondered to herself sometimes, why don't I just leave? Why didn't she?

DESCRIPTION,,
Alderdance is a very small she-cat. She has a well muscled body from her life in the forest but she will always be considered slender when compared to other cats. She's a calico so her fur colors range from white, to orange and brown. Her fur is short and sleek and usually has a nice shine to it. Over the moons she's been alive she's earned her share of scars. The most noticeable scar she has is a heart like shape on her left, rear leg. Like many other clan cats she has scars on her muzzle, her ears and a few in other places but for the most part you cannot see these. Her eyes are an emerald green hue and her claws each have a black stripe down the middle of them.
Her tail is unusually long, mostly white and ginger colored. At times others might mistake her for a apprentice but her size gives her a few advantages in battles. Her ears are normal sized though a bit more tipped, or pointed at the end. The tips or her ears are black and all of her paws are snowy, white.
Personality,,
Her personality is very strong. She is extremely hard-headed and doesn't like to give in when she truly believes something. She fights for the things she thinks to be right but of course everyone is wrong at some point or another in their lives. Even so she remains stubborn, at times her mother, Mossmask, had called her a fool for this way of thinking. Alderdance can convince herself of anything, even if it's a lie as long as she believes in it strongly enough. She's not a gentle cat at all, no matter what you might think upon first seeing her. Since she was a kit she'd felt like an outcast and therefore hardened herself to normal emotion. She rarely feels sadness and when she does she turns it to rage and fury, her most common emotion.
She has felt love once and this is strongest of all for her, but she lost that long ago and now chooses to deny her heart. She tries more so to follow a bit of logic with intuition once in while. Overall she is ruthless toward the other four clans. She cares almost nothing for them, only that her clan survives and is strong. She has confidence in herself for the most part, but when she's alone,. from time to time she has many doubts. She thinks a lot but does not reveal most of this to anyone since Cedarcloud is gone.
HISTORY,,
Alderdance was born into Shadowclan, than just one of many kits, Alderkit. She had three siblings, Treekit, Spindlekit and Tinykit. Of the three she was the only she-cat. Her mother, Mossmask loved them all but was not suited for motherhood at all. She ha many breakdowns and moments where she turned into a completely different cat. Once, because of this, Alderkit snuck out of camp, planning to never return. Her family was frantic as they set out searching for the young she-kit but in the end it was a warrior named Silentstorm who found her. his wise warrior talked to her for a long time, convincing her that she needed to go back, she would be an apprentice soon enough. Silentstorm went on to become Alderkit's mentor.
Alderkit was named Alderpaw when she was six moons old, like any normal apprentice would have been. She was a quick learner and her mentor soon became her best friend. The only other friend she had as an apprentice was Boulderpaw. There was a mutual crush between her and the tom so when he chose a cat named Ashenfeather as his mate she was devastated. Her mother had already done some damage to the cat's mind and emotions but this was a bigger blow. She began to be angry more and more often. The only cat she would speak to was Silentstorm up until the day she became a warrior.
Twelve moons, thats when she was given her warrior name. Alderdance. Everyone had chanted he name and that was the first time she ever felt a huge sense of pride. The night of her vigil her brother, Spindlepaw, who'd yet to be named a warrior tried to attack her. Se didn't want to break her code of silence but knew she had to. By the time anyone heard her yowl Spindlepaw and her were locked in a flurry of teeth and claws. Every cat in the clan was confused except for their than deputy, Inkprince. He quickly jumped in and within minutes he and Alderdance had Spindlepaw pinned down. The tom had tried desperately to free himself and his leader than sent him into exile. From this battle Alderdance earned the jagged scar that runs on her underbelly. This only made her more hardened to the world around her though. Her own flesh and blood had tried to kill her.
A bit later she and a patrol had run into her brother on Shadowclan territory, a warrior named Pebblestream killed him. There was no emotion in Alderdance, no grief. He was not a part of her any longer and now she'd not have to fear her brother's hatred. Her mother died the winter when Alderdance was 20 moons old, her father than disappeared, only to be found dead a few days later near a river. He'd either killed himself, died of grief or been caught by an enemy clan who wouldn't own up to killing him. Alderdance felt little for them but there was some sadness. That all turned to anger though, as she'd come accustom to doing so.
she fell in love a moon later with a tom named Cedarcloud. He was the only one who ever seemed to care other than Silentstorm and she opened up to him. They became very close friends and hoped to have kits. Than the day came that he fell ill with green cough. He died a moon later and she grieved for tom, Blackfang tricked her during this time ad she gave birth to two of his kits. Lightkit and Moonkit. She despised them and their father. Well secretly she loved her kits but no one would ever know these until she was 40 some moons old and by than her daughter had became a rogue named Scarecrow, her son an amazing warrior. After they were apprenticed Blackfang had chased her off, saying she was dead. It took her till her son was 21 moons old to return and than she was still an angry soul but she earned more respect than before. So much so that she became deputy of Shadowclan
