I Am the Fire
I am the Flower
I am the Flower
Name: Fireflower[/i] They stopped me from crying. She thought to herself again, the two frozen teardrops glittered a little more, Fireflower thought she saw two stars dance in them. She shook her head, blinking again. The glittering was gone again, must have been the trick of the light She sighed to herself turning to her worried friend. "Its nothing, my mother had the same blue spots in her eyes." She purred, but her mind was else where. Windfox nodded thoughtfully;
Clan: Windclan
Rank: Warrioress
Age: 68 moons
Gender: She-cat

Description:
Fireflower is a striking red she-cat, with very light orange stripes running under her smooth belly. She has strange colored paws; they are pure yellow, as if someone dipped her in butter and the butter soaked into her paws. They are small so it is awkward for her to walk on narrow strips, such as narrow branches of trees. She has soft orange eyes, with two blue dots on either side of them, as if tears had frozen in them. They are oval shaped making them look much like petals of flowers. She was round ears that add to her round face. Like many WindClan cats she has a long slim body; meant for the windy areas she lives in. To go along with her long, slender body she has long legs; they are built more for speed then for balance. To add to her lengthy body and legs she has a narrow, long tail. At the top of her tail she has a yellow mark, like the top of a dandelion head. With the color of her body and the shape it of it, it makes it hard to hide in the grass. So she stands out like a sore thumb; but with her long legs and slim body it makes it easier for her to travel quickly. Her body isn’t all that perfect though; she has many scars from kitten-hood and from adulthood. She has a scar on her left shoulder, it is the shape of a J. As if some cat had tried to cut a chunk out of her shoulder, and on her right ear she has large chunk out of it. Its is much like the shape of a large rat’s bite.
On her maw she was one scar, hooking down near her throat. Since she is shorthaired, these scars are easy to see. Her claws are like shards up glass. Sharp, and dangerous. But the strange thing about them they are oddly spotted. Fireflower herself thinks she may have gotten it from her father’s side.
Fireflower may not look intimidating like a strong tom. She may look like a sapling next to the well-muscled toms. She may not be as beautiful as many of the she-cats; not as well liked as many of the cats. But she is very fast on her feet, and is very nimble, much like a dancer on ice. Her enemies shouldn’t underestimate her ability to fight because of her small muscles. She has a lot of power held in her.
Personality:
Fireflower has a very short temper, if pushed too far she will snap. Since she is older now she doesn’t come unhinged as easily as she use to when she was younger. If she snaps at a clan member she usually use feels guilty afterwards and will apologize to them. But since she is a very proud she-cat she usually has to force down her pride before doing so. But step-by-step she is learning how to control it. You could now consider her a mellow she-cat; she enjoys listening to the wind and the birds. The songs they birds play and the stories the wind carries. She isn’t much of a loner; she likes the protection and the warmth the Clan gives. Fireflower is very persistent and will not give up easily; since she is learning to control her temper she has learned a lot of patients. She has trained two apprentices so far; they have helped her learn patients. She is very protective of her Clan and leader, she dose not stand for the bending of the Warrior Code. She was slightly rumpled by the former leader’s idea of letting kitty pets into WindClan. But she got over it, figuring the leader had good intentions of allowing the non-clan born cat into the Clan.
She isn’t very nosey so she won’t head butt into someone’s conversation. But if the conversation has to do with her; she’d like to why she was being talked about behind her back. Fireflower isn’t much of a good-doer she doesn’t try helping a butterfly fly. But she tries and helps other cats around the clan. She listens to the Elders tell stories about the past, help younger warriors enhance their fighting and hunting skills. Help queens with their kittens, like getting the mother food. She has a personality like many cats; she has her ups and downs; but no ones perfect.
History:
Fireflower has lived in WindClan all of her life, she had two younger siblings but they died of a bad case of leukemia. Fireflower was born two young and fit warriors. Their names where Strawberrypelt and Dustwind, Strawberrypelt was a yellow she-cat dappled with black spots; Dustwind was a red/orange tom with tiger stripes. Both powerful warriors, Fireflower’s parents where both fairly large cats. Fireflower would have looked like a baby tree sapling next to them.
Strawberrypelt was about twenty-two moons when she was Fireflower and her siblings. Fireflower and her siblings where slightly over do so Strawberrypelt had a difficult time giving birth to them. She ended up in the Medicine Cat Den for a few weeks. But luckily all of them lived. When Fireflower was ten moons she had came back from cleaning the ticks off the Elders when she was summoned to the Medicine Cat Den. When she was arrived she found Lighteningtree (Lighteningpaw) and Blossomsnake (Blossompaw) where there. Fireflower asked the Medicine Cat at the time what had happened. The Medicine Cat said that the two cats had fallen seriously ill during the night. Fireflower knew her siblings had been sick even before last night. But they refused to go to the Medicine Cat Den, too proud. Fireflower had noticed her brother and sister had looked very shaking and had gone off into the bushes to have some ‘relief’. The two cats lived for a month; they only got up to use the bathroom. And if they didn’t make it because they where to dizzy they urinated on the floor. The two cats died just before their birthday; the normal ritual happened and the Clan life moved on. Strawberrypelt went into deep depression, now only one of their kittens lived, the scrawniest of litter. Dustwind on the other hand started slipping away more often. Not being seen for hours, but he’d return around the same time everyday. Sunset. Fireflower had a feeling that her father was disappearing every day because he didn’t want to see his mate in the state she was in. Fireflower decided to follow her father one-day out of curiosity. Her father didn’t stop until he reached to the border between WindClan and ThunderClan. And awaiting him there was a dark she-cat. Fireflower hid in the shadows as the two conversed, with her cat senses heightened she found out the dark she-cat was a friend of her fathers. They had met at the Gathering; the dark she-cat was like a counselor for her father. Fireflower lost interest after a bit and padded away.
When she was twenty-one moons she was going with her leader to the Moonstone as they where passing (the) a (Junkyard) rat infested area Fireflower trespassed on a very large rat’s area. The rat jumped on her and bit a very large chunk out of her ear. Fireflower was sent back to the Clan because of the bite. Strawberrypelt and Dustwind had no more liters after Fireflower. They where afraid that whatever disease had taken their lovely kitten’s life, would take their next litter’s lives as well. Both warriors grew old, many times Strawberrypelt had fallen ill, mainly because she wouldn’t eat. Or was too weak to move from the Warrior’s Den. Fireflower helped care for her ill mother as long as she could, her mother is still alive today. But is slowly dyeing, her father on the other hand is still well and still loves his mate. Fireflower has taken both of their places, as a strong faithful warrior.
Example of role-playing:
A soft wind blew over the desolate area. Winding its soft fingers in between the thin bodies of the dry grass that danced around. Soft beat of wings could be heard over the silence, the crying voice of a branch bending echoed softly. The beating of large wings ended now only the laughter of the stars and moon could be heard. After a few moments of silence near-silent padding could be heard. In less then a second’s time a small feline shape could be seen. The cat’s red pelt glittered in the moon’s gaze; like hot fire the feline shape raced over the bodies of the grass, it’s paws grazing the ground only touching when it wanted to propel itself further into night. The cat’s mouth was open to allow its soft breath to be pushed from its lungs. After what seemed like endless hours of running the fiery cat stopped at what seemed like a invisible line that it could not pass through without the permission of the owner. The feline tipped it’s round head back, blinking its petal shaped eyes.
"Blossomsnake?" The feline meowed softly, its gental voice blowing its self over the listening ground. "Lighteningtree?" The feline called again, the only call the cat got back was the soft whimpering of the branch being released from its tight restraints. The fiery feline dropped its head tears rolling down its maw dropping onto the ground. Dust spiraled away from the teardrop. Fireflower, a beautiful red she-cat stood in the harsh gaze of the StarClan.
"Fireflower?" the unattached voice echoed around the she-cat. Fireflower lifted her head slowly, as if it where weighed down by the weight of the world.
"Yes." She mummered, her orange gaze scanning the area,
"you’ve come." The disembodied voice rang again. Fireflower turned her movement precise and slow. As she turned two glittering figures could be seen. They seem to glow with the intensity of the sun. Fireflower’s eyes shown brightly in the light. "You called to me.." She whispered, her eye glittering with tears, with happiness this time.
The two cats nodded in unison, their starry bodies rippling with the movements. With out a thought Fireflower padded forward, her head dipped down with respect. Her two starry siblings watched her with black eyes, nothing showing in them. Fireflower stopped a nose length away from Lighteningtree. She leaned her head forward touching her soft pink nose with that of her brother’s starry one. A soft tingling flickered in her body, reaching down into her paws and black into her nose. She pulled away, blinking her orange eyes. In her left eye something glittered, like a blue crystal. Fireflower paid no heed to it. She turned to
Blossomsnake; the starry she-cat watched her older sister.
Fireflower leaned forward brushing her red body against that of her sisters, her face brushing by her sister’s. Another tingling sensation could be felt in her; only slightly different this tingling felt like a butterfly brushing its wing over a flower. She pulled back, in her right eye now there rested another blue crystal. The two starry cats turned their heads to the sky. After a moment they turned their heads back to Fireflower.
"We must go now sister." The two cats mummered love dancing in their voices.
"No!" Fireflower screamed silently to her younger siblings. But it was too late, the bodies of Blossomsnake and Lighteningtree where already fading. And Fireflower’s world was shaking.
Fireflower awoke sharply, her body jerking as she rolled upwards. Panic flaring in her eyes,
"Fireflower, you lazy bones!" Her friend laughed, Fireflower fixed her orange eyes on her friend. Windfox, a black she-cat with a loving personality; Fireflower scowled playfully at her best friend. But her mind was on other things, was it truly a dream? She mummered thoughtfully to herself; it didn’t feel like a dream, it felt very much real. She shut her eyes, recalling the feel of the star’s light on her back. The soft crunch of the ground beneath her small paws, Fireflower rolled to her paws looking down at her small companion.
Windfox was looking at Fireflower with worry in her emerald eyes; Fireflower smiled down at Windfox. "Want to go hunting?" She asked softly, she knew hunting was Windfox’s favorite sport. Windfox nodded enthusiastically, just like a new apprentice would. "Lets go then." She meowed, padding past her friend to the exit of the Warrior’s Den. Fireflower blinked, her pupils dilating to adapt to the morning sunlight. Fireflower scanned the Clan, there where very few warriors wondering about, just waking up from a long night sleep. Fireflower glanced over her shoulder looking at her friend; Foxfire was looking at her funny. "What is it Windfox?" She meowed, blinking slowly, Windfox blinked at Fireflower.
"Do you go something in your eyes?" The she-cat replied, moving up beside Fireflower, her emerald eyes boring into Fireflower’s orange ones.
Fireflower shook her head, "no, why?" She asked, shifting her weight to the other paw. Windfox didn’t answer instead she walked forward, flicking her tail for Fireflower to follow. Fireflower padded after her. Windfox lead her to where some leaves held some water, she sidestepped flicking her green eyes to Fireflower’s.
Fireflower leaned forward, narrowing her orange eyes into the glinting water. She held back a near-audible gasp that had formed in her throat. It can’t be! Fireflower said thoughtfully to herself; last night was real. Warmth spread through her body as she remembered seeing her deceased family. As Fireflower looked closer she noticed that the two blue crystals where shaped like frozen teardrops.
"they weren’t in your eyes yesterday." She meowed, tipping her head to the left, very fox-like. Giving herself the look of her namesake.
"They appear around my age, sometimes a little older, they come when they please." Fireflower knew this was a lie, but she had to, she didn’t want her friend to know she talked to her deceased siblings in her dreams. But she knew very well that
Windfox was smarter then her own good. "I didn’t see them in your mother’s eyes before." She meowed, suspicion slipping into her eyes.
"They fade after a bit." Fireflower said, flicking her eyes to the Elder’s Den; where her mother Strawberrypelt and Dustwind now staid they’re ending days. Fireflower turned her eyes back to her friend’s, "I thought we where going hunting?" She said, crouching down low, her tail twitching as she coiled her sinewy muscles.
Windfox’s eyes widened as she let out a squeak as she turned and bounded away. Fireflower smiled a catish smile, letting the rush of power and adrenaline shoot through her sending her off after her friend’s fading shape…
