Gathering the Hunting Patrol

Foxheart

Foxheart sat in the middle of camp. He had just gotten back from the Dawn Patrol, but he still wanted to do something. Maybe I should organize a hunting patrol... he thought. Who should I take?

After thinking about it for a minute, he walked over to Darkdagger. "I'm going on a hunting patrol. Want to come?" Barely giving him time to answer, he walked over to the warriors' den, called Eaglefur, walked over to the apprentices' den, and called Tigerpaw. This would be tricky. They would have to see how well Tigerpaw would hold out after the latest injury.

He walked to the center of camp, and waited. Now where would they go? The forest... was his first thought. It was the most abundant source of prey, and would be easier for Tigerpaw and the others.

Eaglefur had been resting on his back near the warriors den, letting the sunlight warm the soft white fur on his belly. When Foxheart had called to him he got up and stretched luxuriously. He walked over to them and arched up his back so that he stood on his toes as he stretched again and yawned, "Hunting patrol? Good, I need to get my paws moving!"

Tigerpaw

Tigerpaw raised his head as soon as he heard his name, his ears pricking in surprise. A hunting patrol? Will I finally get my warrior name? As quick as the apprentice could he uncurled himself and padded after the fiery ginger tom, who Leopardheart had been padding after for moons now. "Sure," He meowed suddenly, wanting desperatly to go on the hunting patrol. He hated being the only one of the four siblings who was still an apprentice. Yes his shoulder hurt, but he was fairly sure it would not slow him down.

Darkdagger watched Tigerpaw carefully, "That is a good idea." He meowed. "Tigerpaw, I want you to take it slow but I also want to see how this injury is fairing with you. If you do well on this we'll hold your assesment tomorrow."
He turned to Foxheart, "Lead the way Foxheart."

Foxheart

~Leader of the TC Hunting Patrol~

Foxheart nodded to Darkdagger, and turned around to face the ThunderClan camp entrance. He slowly walked to it, and flicked his tail towards the entrance to signal to follow him. Foxheart went through the entrance and slightly picked up the pace, but not too much for Tigerpaw's sake. He was heading towards the forest, ready to sink his paws into the flesh of prey.
