[~Unwanted Violence~]
A small whimper of fear escaped the small grey kit's muzzle as she saw her sister attacked and her bother attack the attacker. She didn't like this in the least and she wanted it all to stop. She couldn't understand why cat's were so cruel. Her fear was eased somewhat as her mother, Cinderfoot came to protect them. It helped her so much but it was obvious that she was still scared. She stayed close to Sootkit and Cinderfoot not wanting them to leave her side. This was just to much for Shadekit to handle.

<> Sootkit leaned over and liked Shadekit, "It's okay. I'll scare them away." <> He backed away, knowing his mother was watching Shadekit closely and not him. He ran to where the tree that his father would adress the Clan was. He dug his soft claws and somehow scrambled up. He looked around, from here he could see the battle from a different vantage point. <> The huge gray cat was fighting with his father. He let out a yowl of warning as a ginger cat sprang at his father from behind. The leader spun, claws slicing deep into the cats face. The tom hissed and backed away. <> Sootkit leaned forward and yowled in alarm has he fell out of the tree.
<> "Sootkit no!" Reaperstar yowled, spinning around to catch sight of one of his kits tumbling from the tree. The tom shot forward, knowing he would never reach him in time. "Someone catch him he'll break his neck!" <> A gray blur from the throng shot out and gripped the kit just before he slammed into the ground. Sootkit squealed but seemed unhurt. Relief flooded through Reaperstar only to be replaced by sheer heart pounding terror. <> It wasn't one of his cats that had caught him. It was the silver rogue with the black ear. Her eyes glimmered triumphantly, almost tauntingly at him and she tore off into the fray. Reaperstar didn't even think to yowl to his Clanmates, she wouldn't get away from him. <> He had forgotten Hook though. When the death blow to the back of his head came Reaperstar had no idea what had happened. Just that an inky blackness took away the last sight of the black-eared she-cat as she pushed through the entrance. He croaked something and fell down in a heap. <><><><><><><><><><> <> When he opened his eyes he was on the island. Everything around him shimmered with ice-white fire. Reaperstar whirled, desperate to leave. He caught the eyes of Greenstar and he froze. <> "Reaperstar." The old leader meowed, green eyes shining with untold love for the cat who had been her deputy. "I'm sorry, you have lost your first life." <> Reaperstar noticed the shimmering outline of a pale silver cat but he didn't look at him. "My kits, I have to go back." <> "Do as you must." Greenstar meowed, touching him on the head with her nose, "Remember, hardships come. You must get through this..." <><><><><><><><><><> <> The sound of battle rushed back int his ears and Reaperstar staggered to his paws only to be pinned down. He felt weak from his wounds still, StarClan had not had time to heal him completely. Hook's rank breath ruffled his ear fur, <> "I'll kill you over and over Reaperstar. Nine times will only bring me pleasure."

[shadow=pink,left,300]Cinderfoot[/shadow]
Cinderfoot was watching Shadekit very closely. She didn't want her to get hurt. She noticed that Sootkit was gone a moment later. She gasped, "Sootkit!" Cinderfoot looked up, and there he was on top of the tree. He gave a yowl, and then started to fall. "SOOTKIT!!!!!!!!!" shouted Cinderfoot. She picked Shadekit up by the scruff, and ran across the clearing. She knew she wasn't going to make it, but then there another cat was, and he caught Sootkit. Cinderfoot sighed in relief. She let Shadekit down, and started to groom the she-cat's fur.
I'm so relieved. I just hope my other cats turn out okay. She thought, I wonder who that was who caught Sootkit. I've never seen him anymore. Then she realized it. It wasn't a Clan cat would had caught Sootkit, it was a rogue! She looked up, but it looked like Reaperstar was handling it. But then he laid motionless on the ground. "Noooo!!!" she cried, agony in her voice. Then he began to rise, but the rogue pounced on top of him again. Her heart stopped. What was she supposed to do? Cinderfoot couldn't move a muscle to help herself. [/color]

Tomorrow is a new day
His heart beat spiked and a sick feeling settled in his stomach. To much was going on at once, he couldn't think straight. Never in his life had Griffin been in an area this big with this many cats fighting, it was so confusing. He couldn't find purchase, nor could he see where the enemy or the friends were. He could only go by sense of smell and his hearing was limited as more and more cats grappled for victory. His eyes flitted from side to side, he'd already lost Jolly in the throng of cats. No telling where her and that rogue had gone. However it was then that Griffin's eyes filled with horror, Reaperstar was dead? Dead?
"NO!" Griffin yowled as loudly as he could manage. Fury spreading through his limbs. The cat who had taken him in, who had saved his family. His entire life. Given him a home when he'd needed it most. Was this what it meant to be a Clan cat to watch your friends, those you admired fall beneath an enemy cats claws. How could they strive for that, strive to become friends. To find mates and lose it all in one hit. A sick feeling filled his stomach and Griffin launched himself without thinking toward Reaperstar.
A snarl broke free from his throat, his crimson eyes narrowed in furious concentration. Griffin always thought about what he was doing, so when he launched himself claws extended toward Hook it was surprise to himself. He could see Reaperstar and amazingly the tom was alive. How could that be? Moments before Griffin had seen him die under Hook's claws yet there he lay, awake and alive. "Hook!" He spat, teeth barred in an ugly snarl. His long thorn-sharp claws sliced the air, and a feeling of hope rose in his chest. More than anything else he wanted his claws to meet purchase in this tomcat's skin.
