Smallstar
Today was the day, it was time for her to enter more cats in ThunderClan's legacy. For kits to become apprenticed, and for a tom to finally earn his long awaited warrior name. Quickly the little she-cat moved, her dappled pelt well groomed. Glistening in the dying sunlight, making her appearance more grand then it truly deserved. As soon as the small leader managed to scramble her way up the Highledge and catch her breath she stepped forward. Her ice blue eyes sparkling with joy.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Highledge!" She commanded, her voice ringing out. After her loud call she quietly sat, curling her tail neatly around her tiny paws. She wanted to make sure each cat was present, and of course the kits that needed to be here. Excited flared once more as she though of the tiny kits, ready to become apprentices. Then warriors to serve their loyalty to ThunderClan. Nothing could stand in ThunderClan's way, they were the Clan of Heroes, the Clan of compassion. The most loyal Clan in the forest.

[shadow=orange,left,300]Foxheart[/shadow]
Foxheart stepped out of the warriors' den yawning. He made his way over underneath the leader. He wondered what was going to happen today. There were some kits that needed apprentices, and perhaps Tigerpaw was going to become warrior. Foxheart wondered if he would get an apprentice. He wasn't the nicest warrior in camp, but if he had one he would push his apprentice at just the right speed. Foxheart waited for the rest of the cats to fill in the space around Smallstar.
[shadow=yellow,left,300]Flamekit[/shadow]
Flamekit burst out of the nursery filled to the top with curiosity. She wouldn't be made an apprentice. She was only about a moon old, but she could still hope right. The chances weren't very likely, but Flamekit really wanted to be Flamepaw. She couldn't wait until she turned six moons. [/color]

[glow=white,2,300]Ravenkit[/glow] Ravenkit's black fur gleamed in the beginning moments of twilight. Her violet eyes shone with a joy that seemed barely surpressed. Her small form was dwarfed next to her brother, Crowkit. The tom was groomed well too. His own black pelt well groomed. The scar on his face seemed to make him more handsome strangely.
Ravenkit turned her head, a smile on her face as she looked at her brother and then the starry cat at her side. He smiled at her, a bit uneasily, but she did not notice it. "This is it..." [glow=white,2,300]>>We are all rowing the boat of fate The waves keep on coming<<[/glow] [glow=Purple,2,300]Crowkit[/glow] The tom stared down at his sister, worry filling his senses. Would she die? Would she get sick? Could she take the rigorous training? These questions killed him. She was smaller than any cat in the forest, he was sure. Slight, tiny...so vulnerable.
"Hush now." He meowed, putting his thick black tail across her shoulders. "Listen to Smallstar."
"I wonder who are mentors'll be!" She pratically yowled. Worry blossomed in his head once more, would the mentor be cruel? "Shhh." He meowed.[/size] [glow=Purple,2,300]>>We're letting go of something we never had. Time goes so fast, Heaven is lost.<<[/glow] [glow=black,2,300]Doomkit[/glow] The starry pelted cat was uneasy. Still, he didn't want to let his friend down, and only special cats could even discern his pelt in darkness. It wasn't that dark yet anyways. He smiled at Ravenkit but felt a pang deep inside. This is a step I was never able to take in life...perhaps that is why I am stuck here and not among the cats of StarClan? ~You have to start something in order to finish it, in order to finish it you have to go through it, not around it.~
Sundapple let out a small purr as she watched the kits. She could remember her apprentice ceremony, she could hardly it still when she was a kit. She smiled as she stood up thinking what it would be like if she was a mentor. She never had the chance until now but she doubted it would be easy. She crossed the clearing to sit with the other warriors but she was somewhat by herself. She didn't feel like striking up a conversation at the moment. She was thinking what it would be like to have an apprentice and the more she thought about it the more she wanted one no matter how difficult her apprentice could be.

Gingersnap The ginger tabby cat was resting quietly by the entrance to the Nursery, her body completely stretched out. Right now she did not want to leave the confines of the den but a ceremony was going on and she would not miss it. Though she would miss getting an apprentice this time, she had her babies to worry about anyways.
"Flamekit don't get under anyones paws." She meowed watching her ginger baby fondly. Her children were only one moon and here they were bouncing around, growing up so quickly. Silently the she-cat sent a pray to her beloved mate Stormcloud, her lost partner. Who would never meet his kits, not until her children themselves went to StarClan. Which she fervently hoped was not to soon.Skykit Skykit trailed after her sister, her blue eyes wide with wonder. She was quiet, more a follower than a leader. Her soft little gray paws caring her where ever her ginger tabby sister Flamekit padded.
"Flamekit?" She meowed, her baby voice tiny and soft. She looked around her, her blue eyes widening again and again. Skykit normally did not leave the nursery, to shy really. She felt much better curled up next to her mother and siblings. However this particular day her mother had sent them all out to the ceremony.

Flamekit looked back at the nursery where her mother and siblings were emerging. They can be so slow sometimes, she thought. She called back to her mother. "I'll be fine Mom, I'm not in the way." Out of the kits, she acted the oldest. She was probably the more braver and curious one as well. Looking back at her younger sister, she shouted to Skykit. "Come sit by me Skykit!!!" She used her tail to point to a spot next to her where her sister would be comfortable. Flamekit's smile was huge on her face. [/color]

D A R K D A G G E R L U C K Y P A WG R A S S R O O T The clan deputy watched from the entrance of his camp. He felt no need to move at the moment though he did find himself watching the tom Grassroot curiously. The cat was completely ignoring Luckypaw, the young apprentice tom. Worry pricked at Darkdagger's heart.
"I should speak of this to Smallstar." He murmured. He found his venomous eyes travelling to his apprentice Tigerpaw. Warmth spread through his limbs as he sat beside the tom, "Big step today. You're more than ready for this Tigerpaw."

~A Leopard is the beauty of the world, with a beating heart I fill that beauty~
Leopardheart
Leopardheart shifted from paw to paw, her beautiful eyes shifting from side to side. Her whole body was quivering with excitement, almost like she was becoming a warrior again. It was finally time for her last littermate, Tigerpaw, to join them in their ranks. He'd waited long enough. Quickly the spotted she-cat finally sat down, her whole body trembling. Her eyes wide with excitement.
"Isn't this great!" She meowed loudly, speaking quickly to Foxheart. She wasn't aware really who she was talking to, just that she was happy for her brother. However she quickly made herself calm down, for it would look a bit odd if a warrioress was bouncing around like an excited kit.
~I am the Panther that stalks through the night, there the night song protects me~
Panthersong
Panthersong sat beside her groomed brother. Her eyes shinning brightly with happiness. She felt so proud of him, overcoming his injury to finally join them. Though in truth it wasn't a horrible injury in the first place. It had just left him unable to participate for the time being.
"See I told you it wouldn't take you long." She purred licking him lightly on the shoulder. "You stupid fur ball you were worried about nothing." Panthersong wanted to say more but she noticed than that the deputy, and Tigerpaw's mentor, was coming up to speak with him. Quietly she backed away until she was beside her second brother Lionpelt.
"He finally made it." Panthersong meowed to him, turning as she spoke. However she just shook her head. Her brother was daydreaming again, another strange expression on his face as he watched their deputy and their brother. ~I lift up my head and roar, like a Lion I am born to lead, lighting the way with my golden pelt~
Lionpelt
Lionpelt felt a growl threaten to escape his open maw, instead only a soft hiss escaped. He was not happy that Tigerpaw as joining them now, for his brother distrusted him. He was not happy because Tigerpaw felt respect toward their deputy. Where as Lionpelt felt a growing rage. Quickly he he flitted his golden eyes towar his sister, even though he didn't really want to speak with her. Then he completely ignored his sister and instead stalked toward the deputy. What he exactly he was going to do, not even Lionpelt was sure. Something anything really, just to feel a little satisfied today.
"Hello," He meowed tensely, jerking his head in a strange nod of respect. He turned his burning golden eyes briefly to Darkdagger but then they flitted toward his brother. A smile forced its way onto his maw and he quickly bunted his brother on the shoulder. Deliberately hitting his injured one as hard as he could. "Congrats,"
~I am fierce like a Tiger, ready to follow in the paw prints of my ancestors, to do whatever it takes~
Tigerpaw
Tigerpaw felt a growing warmth spread through his body, a smug pride that he couldn't really hide. He was not after all a usual smug cat. Right now though it seemed he deserved to bask in what he had done. He was finally becoming a warrior, and though he was not the affectionate type he let his one sister congratulate him. Not to mention lick him a little.
"Thanks," He meowed looking at her kindly. She nodded her head and then backed off, giving his mentor some room. He felt his warmth divide out and he felt general affection toward his mentor. In ways Darkdagger was a friend, yet still a teacher. "Thank you for all you've taught me Darkdagger." Tigerpaw dipped his head in respect for his deputy and mentor. A purr rising in his throat.
"I certainly wouldn't be anywhere without you." Tigerpaw leaned forward to bunt his mentor lightly, making sure not to do it with his hurt shoulder. Which was completely wasted when his brother stalked up. Tigerpaw stiffened and a threatening growl rose in his throat. He did not trust his brother at all, not even a speck. He watched tensely as the golden tomcat acknowledged Darkdagger than stiffened as his brother bunted him roughly on the shoulder.
"Watch it!" He snapped stumbling away from Lionpelt. A hiss escaped his open maw at the light pain that shot through his arm. It was not completely healed and he did not want his brother injuring it again. However he was quite sure Lionpelt had done that on purpose, considering the way his golden eyes were narrowed.

Smallstar
The tortoiseshell she-cat watched quietly, her blue eyes narrowed against the setting sun. Her eyes flitting from cat to cat. Smallstar felt a growing satisfaction about her Clan, they were all loyal cats. Nobody but ThunderClan deserved such loyal cats. Finally the leader seemed to noticed that most of the cats were here, she might as well start. Quickly she stood, shaking her pelt subconsciously. She hadn't been leader very long so talking up here still got her every now and then. She took a step forward, flicked her tail for quiet and cleared her throat.
"It seems that it is time for another apprentice to join the ranks of warriors." She meowed clearly, her eyes resting briefly on Tigerpaw before turning toward all the six moon old kits. "We also rejoice in the fact that more kits well begin their training to become warriors themselves." Smallstar took a deep breath before speaking again, waiting to let the sun warm her fur. For the cats to think for a moment.
"To begin with we will start with a long awaited warrior ceremony, Tigerpaw come here." She meowed beckoning the eldest apprentice with her tail. With glittering eyes Smallstar began to the age old ceremony that had been passed down from leader to leader. Then she fixed her blue gaze on the darkening sky. "I, Smallstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code and I commend him to you as warrior in his turn." Smallstar stepped forward, closer to Tigerpaw than she had been before. Her blue eyes rested firmly on him, full of a deep rooted happiness that ThunderClan was growing stronger once more.
"Tigerpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"Smallstar asked narrowing her eyes. ((Just pretend he said yes)). "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your warrior name. Tigerpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Tigerflame. StarClan honors you determination and strength and we welcome you as a new warrior of ThunderClan." Smallstar stepped forward and rested her muzzle on top of Tigerflame's head, waiting for him to lick her shoulder in respect before she backed up toward the highledge. Quickly she nodded toward each of the young kits, telling them silently to come forward. As soon as Coldkit, Featherkit, Ravenkit and Crowkit had joined her she turned back toward the crowd.
"From this day forward until they earn their warrior names they shall be known as Coldpaw, Featherpaw, Ravenpaw and Crowpaw." Smallstar turned toward her warriors, a smile tugging at her maw. "Darkdagger you trained Tigerflame and he has joined you in the ranks of warriors. You did well so I will ask you to train Ravenpaw until you see fit that she is ready to become a warrior. Sundapple you are ready for you first apprentice you shall train Coldpaw, until you see fit that he is ready to become a warrior. Remember that you can always turn to the senior warriors if you need advice. Foxheart I believe you are also ready for your first apprentice. You shall train Crowpaw. Finally Eaglefur I want you to train Featherpaw." Finally she let out a sighing breath, watching each of the new apprentices for a moment before scrambling back onto the Highledge. She felt like she was going to ruin the good mood but she must announce everything that needed to be.
"Now I regret to ruin our good moods tonight but sadly enough I must announce that our beloved Medicinecat Desires-song has passed away. The old twoleg nest collapsed around her, which in the end killed her. I will sit vigil with her tonight while Tigerflame keeps his Warriors vigil. From this moment on Rainwhisper will be the soul medicine cat of ThunderClan."With that Smallstar leaped off the highledge and padded to where she had the old medicine cat put. Featherpaw
Featherkit raised head proudly and than stalked forward to meet their leader. She felt a stir in her body, a fire that began burning through each of her limbs. Finally she came to a stop beside the leader, watching as she named each of the cats. Featherkit.....no she was Featherpaw now jumped for joy. Spinning around to face each of the warriors. "Eaglefur!" she meowed out loud, her blue eyes widening in disbelief. "Cool!"
"Can we start training now!?" She breathed racing toward her new mentor. She looked up at him with awe, her eyes shinning brightly. "Oh we probably have to wait till tomorrow don't we....or can we go now? Can we?"
Coldpaw
Coldkit was more dignified than his sister, carefully he padded forward. His amber eyes burning with concentration. He already had plans for his future, to become the best warrior he could be for ThunderClan. Everyone always wanted to be the very best, will Coldkit would do the best to his ability. Quietly the turned watching Smallstar with intense interest. She was noble and amazing, the only leader he knew. For he had only been three moons when the last leader Icestar had passed away. He was told to be one of the best leaders that ThunderClan had seen. Would Smallstar live up to that.
"Thanks Smallstar," He meowed softly as he received his apprentice name. Coldpaw turned his amber eyes flaring to life once more as he faced his mentor Sundapple.
Skykit
Skykit watched with mild interest before turning to her sister Flamekit again. Her green eyes wide she took a step forward. "When do we become apprentices?"She asked, directing the question to anyone who was listening really. Then she turned away, not even waiting for a reply, watching each of the new apprentices with an awed expression across her face.
"Mommy?" She meowed turning back again, her green eye flitting every which way. Trying to locate her mother Gingersnap.

Eaglefur's ears flicked up in surprise. He padded forward and looked down at the apprentice. He smiled a bit to himself, Probably won't be looking down at her for very long at all. He twitched his brown tabby tail in amusement as he lightly touched noses with her. He found it hard not to laugh, [glow=brown,2,300]"We'll go training tomorrow Featherpaw. For now we need to let you get a good nights sleep in the apprentices den." [/glow]He wanted to sit a short vigil with Desires-song as well. [Happiness. It can be so simple!]
Sundapple smiled at her new apprentice, Coldpaw. It seems I do get an apprentice, she thought to herself as she touched noses with him. She thought there were more experienced warriors that Smallstar could have chosen but her leader must beleive that she was ready if she did chose her. My first apprentice...this will be fun! She thought and her tail curled in amusement at her thoughts and a purr rose up in her throat. "I promise to teach you to be the best warrior you can be," she promised him still smiling.

[shadow=orange,left,300]Foxheart[/shadow]
Foxheart smiled at the excited warrior next to him. Foxheart knew that this was Tigerpaw's sister. What was her name again? Leopardstripe? Leopardpelt? No, it was Leopardheart, just like himself. Now he remembered. He hadn't ever been this close to her before, and he found himself wanting to be closer to those beautiful eyes. They were like locks, and he couldn't quite look away. "Yeah, I'm sure it's really exciting. Tigerpaw's a good guy," he said to Leopardheart, his heart thumping. Why am I feeling this way? I haven't felt this way before... He really didn't mind that she was half-acting like a kit. He found it rather...cute.
The tortoiseshell ThunderClan leader started the meeting, and Foxheart forced himself to look away from the pretty form of Leopardheart. He smiled at Tigerpaw as he was made into a warrior, with his new name, Tigerflame.
Coldkit, Featherkit, Crowkit, and Ravenkit were next. They were given apprentice names. Next the mentors were listed off. Foxheart nodded at each mentor, thinking that they would match well. Time seemed to slow down as Crowpaw's mentor was announced. Foxheart's eyes bugged out as she announced that he was ready for his first apprentice. His jaw dropped, but he quickly regained his straight and strict posture after a second or two. He couldn't mess up now. He walked over to Crowpaw, and touched noses.
Foxheart could barely hear the rest of the meeting. He heard it all right, but he couldn't really listen. Over and over in his mind he was thinking, Am I ready? Am I ready? He barely comprehended the fact that Desires-song had died. He decided he would spend a couple minutes with the med-cat, but not too long. He was really tired, and he wasn't that close with the med-cat anyway. Once that was decided he went back to worrying about being a good mentor.
After the meeting was finally over, he spoke to Crowpaw. "Better get a good sleep. We have a lot to do tomorrow. We'll be seeing all the borders and hunting as well." That would take up most of the day, and then he would give Crowpaw a small amount of battle training the next day. Not too much though. He didn't want to tire the apprentice out. But he also wanted to be strict, but would strict be too much for the little kit?
[shadow=yellow,left,300]Flamekit[/shadow]
Like her sister Skykit, Flamekit was having a hard time concentrating on what Smallstar was saying. None of it had to do with her. Replying to Skykit's question, she said, "We'll be apprentices soon enough." However, Skykit seemed to be engaged in looking for her mother, so Flamekit decided to help. "Maybe Mom's in the nursery?" Flamekit said unsuredly. The small she-kit ran off to the nursery entrance to check. [/color]

[glow=white,2,300]Ravenpaw[/glow] Electric blue colored eyes shone with joy as Ravenpaw jumped forward. She squealed with delight as she touched noses with Darkdagger. "Darkdagger! DARKDAGGER!"
She laughed happily and waved her tail, then it drooped, "Awww, bed?" She looked over to Doomkit, knowing that was exactly the opposite she was doing tonight. No Doomkit would become Doompaw tonight, and she would become his mentor.[glow=white,2,300]>>and we can't escape But if we ever get lost on our way<<[/glow] [glow=Purple,2,300]Crowpaw[/glow] "Yes sir." Crowpaw meowed, feeling an almost instant respect for his mentor. He was a new warrior but so calm! He felt a secret excitement that he wouldn't let show bubble inside of him, "I look forward to it."
He looked at his sister, "Ravenpaw! Don't complain, listen to your mentor!"
"But Crowpaw!" Ravenpaw said, she glared at him but Crowpaw was too busy talking to Luckypaw.
"Thankyou Luckypaw, I appreciate you welcoming us into the den. We'll be sure to work hard on our duties." Crowpaw turned to Ravenpaw, "I'm going to bed, I expect you in the den in a few moments Ravenpaw. Goodnight Foxheart, see you tomorrow."[glow=Purple,2,300]>>Tewo nobashi tsukanda yumewa sotto kuzureyuku sunano shiro Tada tachitsukunutseta wakare michi hohoemiwo nokonutse<<[/glow] [glow=gray,2,300]Doomkit[/glow] Forever cursed to never join the apprentices den, never become a warrior. Forever cursed to live in an enemy's camp for all eternity. Is this a punishment? If so what have I done? I just wish to join StarClan, to be at peace...
"Congratulations." He meowed at the new warrior who would never hear him, "I wish you realized how lucky you are."
"Doomkit!" Ravenpaw meowed, he snapped his head at her and she lowered her voice, "Sorry, sometimes I forget."
"Don't say sorry to me." Doomkit said with a slight purr. The starry cat turned to Ravenpaw. He tried to smother the jealousy inside his chest but he couldn't. He wanted to be an apprentice, one so badly it hurt. He wished, not for the first time, that the entire of ThunderClan could see him. He continued with his sentence unhindered by his thoughts, "You're the one who looks like a mouse-brain."
"Oh ha-ha."Ravenpaw whispered, "Look, you meet me at camp entrance tonight alright? It's a surprise so don't ask why. Just show up."
"Not like I have anything else to do. I could hover over Smallstar's head again, but that's boring when she can't even see you." Doomkit meowed, he tipped his head to one side, "But Ravenpaw..."
She was gone. Doomkit heaved a heavy sigh, and, careful to stay out of Rainwhispers sight, padded to Desires-song's body. He stared at it for a long time before murmuring, "Cherish the path your paws have taken you to. At least you can rest in StarClan now."[glow=gray,2,300]>>Where the city sleeps and I'm the only one and I walk alone<<[/glow] ((Haha, Foxheart got the stiff for an apprentice!))
