Breezestar
~Leader of WC~
Breezestar had been thinking in her den. Now was the time... It was mid-day. Most of the patrols were back, and all the warriors were in camp. She got up quickly and briskly stepped out of her den. The sunlight blared onto her gray pelt, and warmed it up immediately. It was surprisingly warmer than normal today despite the leaf-bare that was coming soon.
Breezestar paid this hardly any attention at all though. She jumped up onto the Windy Tree. The Windy Tree was not high, but it was high enough that most cats could see her throughout the camp. This was where the meetings of her Clan took place. Now, a meeting was about to happen yet again.
Breezestar let her voice ring out as she said the words that would bring her clan before her. "All cats that can catch their own prey please join together underneath the Windy Tree for a clan meeting." Warriors and apprentices alike came out of their dens and over to the tree.
When they were all assembled she began, "Twilightkit," she paused a moment. "You have reached the special age of 6 moons. Until you recieve your warrior name, you shall be known as Twilightpaw. Beartooth shall be your mentor. She then turned her attention to the other two apprentices of her clan. "Fogpaw, you have lost your mentor, and are in need of a new one. Blackfire will be your mentor. Cliffpaw, you have been made an apprentice, but have no mentor yet. I now give you your new mentor. Fickleheart you must teach everything you know to this apprentice."
Next were the warrior ceremonies. "Goldenpaw and Bronzepaw, come forward. I, Breezestar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Bronzepaw, Goldenpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan even at the cost of your life? Then by the Powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Goldenpaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Goldenpelt. Bronzepaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Bronzeclaw. StarClan honors your bravery and courage and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan."
It would seem the ceremonial meeting had ended, but there was one more thing to do. "I have neglected giving WindClan a deputy for some time now. I say these words before StarClan so that they may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of WindClan is Fickleheart." With that, Breezestar ended the meeting with a flick of her tail, and went back to her den.

[glow=white, 2,300]Fickleheart[/glow] "Cliffpaw, you have been made an apprentice, but have no mentor yet. I now give you your new mentor. Fickleheart you must teach everything you know to this apprentice." said Breezestar.
Fickleheart felt a purr rise into his throat. He dipped his head down and touched noses with Cliffpaw. Ah, another apprentice. Hopefully he won't be too much of a stiff. He watched proudly as Goldenpelt and Bronzeclaw were made into warriors. "Goldenpelt! Bronzeclaw! Goldenpelt! Bronzeclaw!" Fickleheart said. Fickleheart got to his paws, sure the meeting was finished. Then he heard the last of Breezestar's news and his mouth dropped open in sheer amazement.
"I have neglected giving WindClan a deputy for some time now. I say these words before StarClan so that they may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of WindClan is Fickleheart."
ME? Fickleheart thought, feeling brief panic flutter in his chest. Breezestar was so confident with her choice however that she just jumped down and went to her den, "I...I..." For once Fickleheart was totally speechless. [glow=white, 2,300]>>Now floating up and down I spin, colliding into sound <<[/glow] [glow=yellow, 2,300]Whippingwind[/glow] Whippingwind watched the ceremony. Blackfire? He could never replace Heartsoul. Doesn't Breezestar realize that Fogpaw should be with me? He's my baby. She licked her son on the top of his head but he seemed more annoyed than anything as he made his way to his new mentor. She watched the rest of the ceremony her mind fluttering in turmoil. Then, "Fickleheart!?" She said, she turned to her little brother happily, "Congratulations Fickleheart!" He looked at her sheepishly, and she purred, "You'll be fine. Deputy! What an honor!" [glow=yellow, 2,300]>> Tell me babe, how many do I shed my tears? Every Heart Every Heart is not a gentle yet Shall I do?<<[/glow] [glow=blue, 2,300]Fogpaw[/glow] "YES!" Fogpaw yowled, Blackfire was an awesome warrior! He had gotten his warrior name in a totally wicked way too! Whippingwind licked his head and he growled under his breath. He still found his way to Blackfire and touched noses with him, "Hi Blackfire!" [glow=blue, 2,300]>>The night will come and rip away, <<[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]Hollyreign[/glow] An apprentice!? No! No! She can't, he's evil! Evil! He'll kill the entire clan! Hollyreign's glazed eyes took on a hint of rage. She wouldn't say anything, a mentor was nothing too bad. She could get rid of Cliffpaw if she had to to. Then Breezestar shook the whole world to it's roots.
"I have neglected giving WindClan a deputy for some time now. I say these words before StarClan so that they may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of WindClan is Fickleheart."
Hollyreign swayed on her paws. Rage clouded her vision, she could see Fickleheart over there. Fickleheart would destroy her Clan! She had to kill him, or convince Breezestar she was mad for announcing him Deputy! Why couldn't any cat see he was a demon? "This is an outrage! He'll kill us! HE'LL KILL US! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT! YOUR ALL BLIND! BLIND!" [glow=red,2,300]>> What's wrong with me? Why do I feel like this? I'm going crazy now <<[/glow]

ooc: geez, nice Whippingwind, hatin' on poor Blackfire...Blackfire's ears twitched. Fogpaw huh... He tried to look bored as the young apprentice touched his nose to his. Still part of him wanted to explode with joy, My first apprentice! "Hello Fogpaw, I suppose it would be best to get started with what Heartsoul left you off with."
Goldenpaw stepped up to where his leader was, his heart pounding. He would never ever admit it, but he was partly terrified. He was so glad Bronzepaw was with him. When it came to the customary question he said with a twinge of defiance, "I do."
"I do." Bronzepaw replied, his pelt bristling with excitement. The leader named them then. Goldenpelt and Bronzeclaw turned and faced the crowd of cats. Windclan warriors, they were warriors now.
Shiftingshadows came between the two, she licked them both on their foreheads, a gesture of kindness rare to her gruff nature. "You may never realize how proud I am of you two."

Beartooth
The brown warrior thingyed his head the side, listening to the meeting carefully. He felt pride burst in his chest as his apprentice was named, he was once again a mentor. This time I well protect my little apprentice, she well not be harmed. Brief pain flared through his body, his heart pounding at the age old agony. He'd lost his last apprentice, which had broken his heart. Yes he felt doubts about training again but he'd done wonderfully with his very first apprentice, it was time to help the Clan once more.
"Hello Twilightpaw." He meowed softly, leaning down so he could gently touch noses with the young she-cat. Happiness spread quickly through his body, finally drowning out the pain that lingered.
I have neglected giving WindClan a deputy for some time now. I say these words before StarClan so that they may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of WindClan is Fickleheart.
Beartooth glanced quickly up from his apprentice, happiness brimming in his eyes. He flicked his tail at Twilightpaw for a moment and was about to head over to his friend to congradulate him when he suddenly heard Hollyreign. Quickly the big tom turned around to glance at the troubled she-cat....well troubled was not exactly right.
"Hollyreign," He meowed gently, carefully moving closer but still far enough away that she could not reach him. "Its OK, Breezestar would never pick a cat that would hurt the Clan. He is your son, remember and that he is, just like you, a loyal WindClan cat."

Cliffpaw
~A True WindClan Cat~ ~Apprentice to the WC Deputy~
Cliffpaw slept lazily in the apprentice's den. When Breezestar called the meeting, he groggily made his way out of the den. What was going to happen now? He reluctantly sat down close to the Windy Tree, his eyes drooping wishing to go back to sleep.
When Breezestar called his name, his eyelids shot up though. She was giving him a mentor! Yes! Finally he would have something to do, and he would be able to prove to the Clan he was worth something. Cliffpaw turned around and rushed over to Fickleheart. It was nice having a mentor at last. Cliffpaw touched noses with him, and then sat down by him for the rest of the meeting.
The last part of the meeting surprised Cliffpaw. Fickleheart was the deputy? He was an apprentice to the deputy? Cliffpaw couldn't believe it, and Cliffpaw stood there dumbfounded for a second along with Fickleheart. Soon, he snapped out of it though.
"Congratulations Fickleheart," he finally said. Would he be worked harder by the deputy? Would he see Cliffpaw as "not good enough"? What would happen now? "Should we start training Fickleheart?" he asked not sure what to say.
Breezestar
~Leader of WC~
Breezestar watched the commotion from outside within her den. Fickleheart still stood there, surprised as anyone that he had been chosen as deputy. There also was Hollyreign screaming that something bad would happen. That would have to be taken care of soon, but later. Right now, Breezestar simply needed a nap to get rid of a recent headache that had struck her.

[glow=white,2,300]Fickleheart[/glow] Fickleheart looked seriously over at his mother. Still, now was not the time. As someone would ignore a young child having a tantrum Fickleheart ignored his mother. He turned to Cliffpaw and said in his gruff and hoarse voice, "Yes Cliffpaw, I think that would be a good idea. I'll take you out but...I think I should see if Breezestar wants me to do something." [glow= white,2,300]>>Like whales beneath me diving down I'm sinking to the bottom of my <<[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]Hollyreign[/glow] Hollyreign stared dumbly around her. No cat was reacting to her, not even Fickleheart himself. Feeling extremely put out and ticked off she snarled. Beartooth was saying something but her broken mind just shrugged it off. Bunching her muscles she jumped at Fickleheart, only to fall extremely short. Fickleheart was all the way across camp, she was tussling with an imaginary Fickleheart, thrashing on the ground. [glow=red,2,300]>> No more gas in the rig Can't even get it started <<[/glow] [glow=blue,2,300]Fogpaw[/glow] "Yeah, alright! Can we go now?" Fogpaw meowed. His pelt was bristling with excitement and his gray eyes flickered happily. He did however look incredibly embarassed when Hollyreign began freaking out, "Umm, yeah, lets go now please..." [glow=blue,2,300]>> her wings of innocence through every word we say maybe it's time,<<[/glow]

[glow=pink,2,300]Twilight[/glow][glow=lavender,2,300]paw[/glow] Twilightpaw felt a thrill zip through her body. She flickered her beautiful blue eyes to the biggest warrior she had ever seen. "My mentor is huuuuge..." She murmured, "Wow." She was so excited. She wanted to run and train. Then she remembered, suddenly regretting her adventures from camp she ducked her head shamefully, "I have to take care of the elder's for ten days. Breezestar said so." She looked over at Hollyreign and grimaced. Slowly and carefully she went forward, "Ah, Hollyreign? Are you okay?"

((OutOfCharacter: Sorry for the slight powerplay Reaper)) [glow=red,2,300]Hollyreign[/glow] Hollyreign sprang to her paws, a feral screech rose from her throat. She leaped from this position so that she soared, her long limbs, though weak from hunger, propelled her foward enough to land on the small she-cat. She screeched again, her claws slipping from their sheaths to score down the young she-cats small body beneath her. "DIE YOU LITTLE BADGER!" [glow=red,2,300]>>Nothing heard, nothing said Can't even speak about it <<[/glow]

[glow=pink,2,300]Twilight[/glow][glow=lavender,2,300]paw[/glow] Twilightpaw saw the she-cat's suddenly violent movements too late. She was untrained so far, for she had after all only just gotten her mentor. She tried desperately to scrabble away but Hollyreign's weight crashed upon her. The screech's Hollyreign emitted made her ears ring and she couldn't breath. She choked desperately trying to get a breath of air. Hollyreign's claws etched down her side and she yowled in pain. She thrashed, her mind clouded. She didn't know what to do, what should she do! Hollyreign's weight made it hard to breath, she was suffocating, her vision flickered.

Beartooth Beartooth nodded his head at what Twilightpaw had said. After all it made since, though it did take some effort to hide his whiskers twitching with amusement. Kits always got in trouble, no matter what they always seemed to do one thing or another wrong. With a purr of laughter the big tom begin to turn back the warriors den when he stiffened, his pelt bristling in horror. Twilightpaw!
"Hollyreign no!" He yowled spinning around to face the she-cat. It was the noise that had alerted him, the spin tingling sound of that feral shriek. Furiously the tomcat launched himself across the clearing reaching out with unsheathed claws to yank the she-cat back by the shoulders. He had to remind himself she was ill, mentally so, so it was unfair of him to pull her away to roughly. However he could not stop the panic filling his mouth, it was unlikely that Hollyreign would kill Twilightpaw, but he would take no chances.

Blackfire spun around, his expression changing from carefree to pure outrage. Goldenpelt beside him stood up as though ready to run at the mentally disabled she-cat. Bronzeclaw and Shiftingshadows reached them first. Shiftingshadows pulled Twilightpaw gently away. The she-cat had minor scratches but looked otherwise unharmed. She began murmuring gently to her, to calm her down. Bronzeclaw was trying helping Beartooth but going about it more gently. He looked as if he wanted to say something to the big cat but he held his tongue.

[glow=pink,2,300]Twilight[/glow][glow=lavender,2,300]paw[/glow] Twilightpaw's pretty blue eyes were stretched wide in horror. She had scratches that stung, badly. She shuddered and pressed her small pelt against Shiftingshadows. Her heart was racing and her head buzzed like she had stuck her head in a beehive. "Wh-what happened?" She meowed worriedly.

Breezestar
~Leader of WC~
Breezestar stepped out of her den once more. She had heard the screeching, and worse, the cry of the newly-made apprentice, Twilightpaw. "That's enough!" Her voice echoed through the camp, it's loud and great noise spreading throughout the camp.
Breezestar's eyes turned harshly to Hollyreign. "Hollyreign, what in StarClan are you doing? This is merely a kit! And one of your own Clan might I add. One more outburst like that, and you'll be lucky if I don't banish you from WindClan!" She turned to Beartooth and Bronzeclaw. "Please escort Hollyreign to the elder's den, please."
Then Breezestar trotted over to Shiftingshadows and Twilightpaw. Speaking to Shiftingshadows, she said, "Thank you," with a nod of her head. Then looking at Twilightpaw, she whispered, "I'd be more careful over the next 10 days. Are you okay?"
After she had recieved an answer and the she-cat got the proper attention, she turned to Fickleheart. "I'd like you to organize some border and hunting patrols. Not too many cats; I fear we have enough trouble in camp as it is." With that, she turned around, and headed back to her den.
Cliffpaw
~Apprentice of WindClan~
Cliffpaw watched the whole scene with amazement. Breezestar handled the situation so well. Cliffpaw sometimes wondered how she coped with all the stress. When seeing that Fickleheart had to organize some patrols, Cliffpaw quickly realized that he wouldn't be able to go out yet. Dang! Maybe being the deputy's apprentice isn't the greatest thing after all."

Beartooth
Beartooth was panting, his golden eyes flashing with barely suppressed anger. However he merely dipped his head in a respectful manner to his leader before turning to Bronzeclaw. "Thank you," He meowed, his voice raspy. Quickly he turned back to Hollyreign, even though was still horrified at her, and ready to leap at her throat he took a different approach. It was hard not to hurt her...or hate her for that matter, however he would do no such thing.
"Come Hollyreign lets go back to the den." He mewled, his voice as soft as honey, just barely raspy still. He lay his tail on her flank, wishing she was once again the amazing cat she had once been.

[glow=white,2,300]Fickleheart[/glow] Fickleheart's golden orange gaze had gone wide with a mixture of rage and terror. Hollyreign! Foxdung! Then Breezestar had asserted herself as always. He watched as Hollyreign slunk down lower than he could have even imagined she'd be able to do. Terror had flickered through her gaze and she was breathing rapidly as if she was thrown in a panic. Still, Fickleheart had patrols to do. The moment had passed, "Twilightpaw, when Beartooth comes back I want him and you to come on a border patrol with me. You'll need to know the territory to be able to take care of...of Hollyreign. Ummm... Cliffpaw should come too. There, that's an okay sized patrol, are you ready to go?" [glow=white,2,300]>>Everything that freaks me out The lighthouse beam has just run out <<[/glow] [glow=red,2,300]Hollyreign[/glow] Panic flitted in her chest like a trapped bird. Hollyreign turned her golden gaze on her leader. "I..." She floundered. Twilightpaw was in front of her, shaking like a leaf. Everything blurred a little. Had she done that? Confusion swam at her paws, "I...I..." Hollyreign tried to cling to a cobweb of thought, and for once. For once in her long time since she had lost her mind she did. She turned her golden gaze to her leader, panic in her eyes, to Twilightpaw, to Breezestar. Then she wailed, it wasn't a crazy wail, but a wail of pure and total despair. "What have I done? Twilightpaw! Twilightpaw I'm sorry!" With that she managed to get away from Beartooth and Bronzeclaw and darted into the elder's den, sobs trailed from inside it. [glow=red,2,300]>>All my life on my head Don't want to think about it <<[/glow] [glow=yellow,2,300]Whippingwind[/glow] As Whippingwind watched her mother dive into the elders den she felt a thrill of hope. She turned her head, bounded up to Breezestar's side. Her eyes were shining, "Breezestar, did you hear that? Hollyreign, she apologized!" She felt excitement surge through her paws, "She could be getting better! She never apologizes after her moments! You know that!" She knew it was unrealistic that her mother would ever be normal, even accepted among her clanmates but the thought that she may live with regret, may finally be getting over Nativebrush's death. It elated her. [glow=yellow,2,300]>> I can never say my loneliness Every Heart doesn't know so what to say oh what to do <<[/glow] [glow=blue,2,300]Fogpaw[/glow] While his grandmother freaked out the way she did Fogpaw had wanted nothing more than to sink into the very earth. He didn't care if he never saw the sky again. Or the moorland, the humiliation of cats knowing that she was related to him sent his ears burning. He hated it. Wanted out, he looked at his mentor, who looked beyond peeved at the moment. Great, just great. He thought. [glow=blue,2,300]>>to spit out the core of our rotting union hopefully before it chokes us to our senses. <<[/glow]
